Entrance Preview

No entrance exam. We had to submit our 12th std marksheets and had to have a score of above 70% to make the cut. I opted for ILS, as it is not just ranked as one of the TOP 10 Law schools in India, but I loved the campus and the bonus was that the teachers were lawyers, and brought back first hand experience to our teaching.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course is something that is set by Pune University. We could choose some of the subjects that we wished to pursue in detail. I chose Corporate Law. We had a number of guest lecturers who came and covered different topics under the subject.

Internships Opportunities

We had quite a number of Companies that came to recruit students for placements and internships. Law firms from Mumbai, Pune and the rest of Maharashtra as well as companies come in for placements.

Placement Experience

3.5

ONGC, Desai and Diwanji, Rustomjee & Rustomjee, Price Water House, Reliance, RIM, Krishna and Saurashtri and many more companies came for placements. In our year, there was 65% placements.

College Events

4

The college conducted several events. Right from Moot courts, to Swimming, football, basketball and tennis championships to College days were held. We have also organized music events and lecturers by eminent lawyers at our college.

Fees and Financial Aid

None that I knew of. There might be scholarships. Please check for the same at the College office.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life was excellent. Gender RATIO was 65male : 35female. There were no Hostel parties . A lot of workshops and excellent facilities to use. There were workshops conducted by different societies that were established in college. Students could be a part of a number of societies, music, sports, mooting ,e tc.

Alumni/Alumna

I have hardly kept in touch with college alumni. But i know they do have alumni network and alot of whatsapp groups that each class sets up before they graduate.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is based and handled by Pune University. Exams were not hectic. But being the students that we were, we put in utmost effort at the time of exams and very rarely through the year. We were so involved in other activities that they sometimes came about as distractions !

Faculty

4

The faculty is the best part of this institution followed by the college campus. We had a mix of both in-house lecturers, lawyers as lecturers and guest-lecturers. It was an excellent mix as everybody had a different perspective and take on the subjects they handled.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the course 8/10 aa course is highly good for me and i chose this field because of the respect it have our curriculum is good only as first 2 years we have BLS subjects then we have law subjects after that. As it is an integrated course it surely serves the purpose and makes you ready for real-life field only but as we have 75-25 pattern it gets hard to write that much in the examination in that much hour also we have to prepare for internals alot then assignment costs alot of time and make the whole study schedule hectic
