Course Curriculum Overview
The entrance exam of the B.Ed contains 4 parts knowledge, reasoning, mental aptitude and questions based on 10th, 12th class.Exam structure is semester wise. As it's a 2 year Course we have to appear for written as well as practical test in 3 semesters but in 3rd semester we have to go for teaching practices i.e. Preliminary School Engagement. And the course is good but there is a lot of unnecessary pressure.
Placement Experience
Nothing, there was no placement and job opportunities. There was also no internship provided, we had to find out Schools personally for our internship. We found schools but we didn't get money it is pay free internship.Looking out for work outside was a tedious task for us.
College Events
Events like Independence day, Republic day, Guru purab were only celebrated in our college campus. Our college celebrates all the occasions on small scale. Actually the college does not focus more on the events and celebration, their main and only aim was to concentrate on studies. We also celebrate teachers day, time to time group discussion, etc
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure in our college is one to be noted. It is expensive, it includes a 2 time fee payment. We have to pay 40,000 to the IP university and 30,000 to the college for the first year and in the second year 75,000 to the college. This fee structure was a bit higher than other colleges compared to in the state.Students also find it very difficult to overcome it.
Campus Life
There is no lab, no sports ground. Whenever the college celebrates sports day we went to the gurudwara as there is large ground which is suitable for sports activities. There is a guruharkishan school, which is also owned by the college lead. This school is also located next to the college. The school also has a big playground, we also go there once a year for the sports day.
Hostel Facilities
There is no hostel facility provided by the college. Actually the students nearby choose this college to learn to become a teacher. The college provides only B.Ed course and there is a limited no of students who resides nearby and they didn't need any type of hostel. As most of the students were only coming from the nearby areas there was no need by the college also to maintain a hostel.
Admission
At first I cleared an entrance exam which was conducted by the college, then according to the rank and priorities I was selected for the college. Next in the selection process was the interview which was conducted In the college campus. It took nearly 3 - 4 days to complete the process. Then I got the admission confirmation for the college.
Faculty
Some teachers are superb in their teaching but some just time pass with us or they were there just only to earn money. Some are helpful and understanding but some are rude, they didn't have time for our problems. Few staffs were also well versed in their particular field of study, which were very helpful to us to gain more knowledge practically.
