MY college

College was really fun.How quickly 3 years passed in the college.It was the best days of my life.I miss sitting in the canteen with my friends and doing so much masti. College management was not very strict and they provided us the desired freedom.I remember one incident where one of our collegue was suffering from dengue and all of us wnet to the hospital to see him. College was so helpful they postponed the internal exam by one day on our request.

I went through BITSAT enterance exam where I scored 90 percentile and I was called for interview in Rancho. As my graduation subject was BCA they asked me questions from c++, Java etc. After clearing the interview I got admission in BIT Noida.

Curriculam consisted of 6 total 6 semesters consisting of subjects like c, c++, Java and electives like compiler designing, dot net, c sharp, artificial intelligence.

Students have to search for college internship by themselves or through their seniors who are working after passing out. There was no help from the college in getting your internship. I got the internship in HCL internship where I learnt about how to work as a team in a project. They offered me the stipend of 7000 which was good amount in those days.

Most of the big companies like accenture, HCL technologies, wipro, TCS, Sapient, Nucleus, Syntel etc visited our campus and they offered from 3.5 lac to 6 lacs per annum package.Barring few most of the students got placed. I got placed in HCL tecnologies and they offered me 3.7 package.

Our college holds an annual cultural event called BITUTSAV in main campus Ranchi which is a week long event where students from all 6 extension counters participate.the event is a mix of tecnical and cultural events. Technical events consists of IT quiz, display ur tech skill etc and cultural event consist of dance and music.college used to call a big celebrity every time.I remeber the singer KK show which is still in my memory.

In my time fee structure was 26000 per semester which excludes histel/ mess charger.Fee structure was feasible as the college offers good placment. You have to deposit the fees before each semester.

College donot offer any loan or scholorship to needy student.we have to look by ourselves to get the loan from bank.I didnot availed any loan.

Campus was very small but the atmosphere was always electric.there was a canteen where we used to sit and chat for long hours after college with bite of sandwitch and chacha spl Chai. Our fav hangout place was sec18 Noida at that time it hasthe only mall in those times.Center stage mall was our hangout some.

The college donot offer any hostel facility. Students have to look for PG accomodation by their own.However as college was situated in Noida sec 1 getting PG accomodation was easy.Most of the students live in east end appartment near the college where monthly rent was 8000 per month.we used to keep a cook to make food who charges us Rs 500 per head.Quality of food prepare varies from cook to cook.

Students are connected through alumini network and every year college host allumni meet which is a fun affair. Most of the college seniors are helpful and they help you out during placments or better job opportunity. There is a alumni blog were they post lot of informative stuffs and good openings in their company.

Exam structure consited of 6 semesters of which 5 semesters were General exam and 6th semester which is the last semester is project based.there are 4 iternal test of 10 marks each of which best 3 is considered. Final exam consist of 70 marks.You have to score min 50 marks to pass the exam.If you get back in any paper you have to again appear in the exam by depositing exam fee for that subject.Exam was tough affair however questions were repeated from last 3 years paper.

Faculty in the college were blend of experienced and inexperienced. Most of the faculty were the passout from the same college. They also hired faculty on contract basis. Faculty were always there to help you put. Standard of faculty in BIT noida campus was average.
