Remarks

Starting to become authoritarian. Doesn't address student woes anymore. Becoming increasingly expensive.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum has vastly improved and the exam systems are fair. Research is encouraged but no relaxation for attendance during competitions is provided so it limits the involvement of many students. No industry specific education is imparted. The college only covers the general knowledge required but faculties are kind and helpful and always ready to help students. There used to be a yearly trip for each batch but that has been cancelled by the College stating a lack of funds even though a fee for that same trip is included in the admission fees.

Placement Experience

3

It's a course where there aren't many campus placements. A few come and take a select few students. They generally check the cgpa and portfolios of the students and choose the tentative students based on that. The interview process usually consists of a few general and a few professional questions. The tentative percentage of students placed is somewhere between 20 and 30 percent.

College Events

4

There is some cultural event every month. Technical events happen a few times a year. SPA-B has held the inter SPA meet 3 times. Inter SPA meet is an event where the 3 SPAs come together for a sports and cultural meet every year. The scale of the even is 3 colleges with a usual contingent of more than 200 students from each college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The program fee differs for different batches. For me it was around 70000 including hostel charges. Security deposits and college trip fees, college bus fees, institute development fees and medical fees are included during admission. No additional fees of any kind is required to secure admission. No, the college has not provided transparency in the fee breakdown.

Fees and Financial Aid

I opted for the central scholarship for Scheduled Tribe students. The eligibility criteria has changed in recent years. When I availed it, there was 5 scholarships available for the 5 ST students with the highest ranks among the ST students in the college. Also there was a limit in the annual income of the family.

Campus Life

Gender ratio- 50/50There is a very active sports life on campus.Students participate in numerous extracurricular activities and the college is always lively. Dorm parties are sadly not allowed and students have to travel outside campus for parties. It is one of the most diverse campuses I have ever seen with students from multiple ethnicities, races and religions, political and economic status. Students worried about being a minority in campus should rest easy as there is no discrimination in the college and they will feel right at home.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel is one of the best features of the college. The rooms are clean and airy with private balconies every 2 rooms. The rooms are shared, 2 students each room. The rooms are spacious and desiged well. The campus is residential, so all the students are housed in the college and adequate seats are available for every student. The washrooms are clean. There is a courtyard for students where games can be played. There are also common rooms, a gym, a music room and a tv area.

Alumni/Alumna

There is a very active alumni network and seniors are a part of life in college. They are friendly and will help juniors through any situation. My internship worries were adressed and I secured a very good internship program through one of our alumni.

Admission

I gave my JEE mains paper-2 for the admission. The location of the college was one of the main factors in choosing the college. Bhopal is a quiet pollution free city. Also, at the time it was the only SPA with its own separate campus with hostel facilities on campus. SPA-B is one of the most premier architecture and planning institutions in the country. After online counselling and admissions, you just have to report to college by the given date. If you secure a good enough rank, you can get into the college through online counselling which starts a few weeks after results are declared. JEE has its own website where you register for online counselling. Once you get a seat in the college, either online or live admissions may happen.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the course curriculum as quite relevant and well-structured. Most subjects are updated according to current industry needs. The faculty also puts effort into explaining topics with practical examples instead of just theory which I genuinely appreciate for there hard work The curriculum covers both core concepts and modern technologies which actually helps in preparing for internships and further needs and i choose Artificial intelligence because it is latest and the future is in ai and everyone somewhere related to artificial intelligence and so i decided this course for my furture safe and good future
