Urban Experience

Yes off course. I opted this to bring a change in my life and now i will be an urban planner in few months.

I gave AIEEE and i got 12000 rank. I chosen SPA Bhopal because i was interested in management study and my elder brother is also an urban planner.

Although its very different from engineering but the curriculum are very similar. We have 8 semester with 6 different studio at different level in different semester from 2nd year onward.

I have done three internship in three different level and in three different organisation/institution. Association of municipalities and development authorities, new Delhi was the first organisation where i worked as a intern for 6 weeks and then Action for children environment where slum children and their surrounding environment were analysed during my internship. Generally they offer around Rs.5000-Rs.7500.

We have lacking in placement as all other colleges are having placements. Although we have good job opportunities. This thing i can say because the passed out batches are successfully working in some organisations and some of them had opted for higher study.

We have lots of event throughout the year. We have different committees working for all the events. we have our student council who looks after the events. Major events are Aman Law Sports fest, Synergy (Technical fest), Integral studio and many more.

Actually the fee structure of my college is most expensive in all the govt colleges of India. SPA Delhi is having feasible fee structure in compare with SPA Bhopal.

Yes, our college is offering scholarship on two different basis. 1. Merit 2. Merit-cum-Means where meritorious students are awarded with some scholarships.

I have been for Six long year in the campus and i feel its the most experienced part of my life. We have good infrastructure such as GIS Lab, Computer Lab and Library. we also have grounds for outdoor games.

Well we have our hostel as it looks like 3 star hotels with full needed infrastructure. And we have contributory mess in our hostel which is serving good foods.

We are actually building the network and hopefully it will be helpful for the juniors for getting their internships and jobs. Although our college is new and our courses are new to developing India. So its like we are having struggling periods now.

I find that it has been well structured. Actually the marks breakup are very well structured. we have 40% written in end term, 30% written in mid term, 25% for viva and 5% attendance.

They are most experienced faculty of Planning field. They are very cooperative and they belongs from diverse filed which collectively useful to us. But their is a lack of getting feedback from the students semester wise should be done.
