Entrance Preview

NATA, I chose this because i thought that the course is only drawings. But i found out that architecture is not only abt free hand sketches but much more.

Internships Opportunities

We have to find our own job. College wont provide. We have to work under an architect for two semesters and see how an office works and what kind of works do they get.

Placement Experience

Either a B.Arch student can work as a junior / senior architect in a firm or put up his own firm or become a professor in some college. There is no campus interview in this course.

College Events

In our college nothing is celebrated. We only have a name sake sports day event within our 5 years of students. Other colleges send their students to competitions and culturals too.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is minimal for merit students. It is abt 40,000 for merit students, 1.5 laks for management students and 2.5 laks for INR students per year.

Alumni/Alumna

No alumini meetings as such. Politics college. Sometimes senseless. But gud in academics. No extra curricular activities. Hostel is available only for boys. 3 sharing room. Weekly thrice non veg. Strict wardern. Students have to adhere to the curfew.

Exam Structure

Anna university time table is followed. Grade system is followed. Chilled out exams only. Main subject is Design and it is conducted with a viva voce.

Faculty

Good but little politics. Politics is everywhere. Few appreciate creativity. But few dont. Marks is based on 'on time submissions'. Internal marks add value.

The placements in our campus for B Tech students in definitely top 5 in this country. Salaries averagin at 20 lpa has been the standard for the past few years. The placements for architecture are a little glim, but I guess that's the case everywhere

Architecture amidst serene greenery

Course Curriculum Overview:

The duration of the course is 5 years with 10 semesters in total. I think this is good period of time to learn architecture. Each semester has five theory subjects and one design subject. The design subject deals with designing buildings with given brief without any plagiagrism. The other five theory subjects are quite easy other than the subjects that involves maths, which requires practice and learning. all the nine semesters are quite conceptualized, whereas the internship semester gives an idea on how the real world of architecture industry works. Though the syllabus is old all over india, it might be for betterent if the practical learning is involved in all semesters.

ONE OF THE BEST CAMPUS AMONGST ALL NITs. NIT TRICHY.

Placement Experience:

Placement happens in the fourth year before the final semester. Multiple companies offers jobs like Google, Amazon, Instagram etc. Average salary package is around 50LPA 95 percent of students get placed in average There is no campus placement for architecture.

the students need to score 50% marks in physics, mathematics and chemistry and also 50% overall to seek admission in this course. Other than that you need to give a aptitude test in architecture field or NATA exam. The selection is strictly done on the combined scores of 12th and scores obtained in the online test. I limited what I would not like to do first, I was very clear about that I had a style for inventiveness and an enthusiasm for anything to do with hands on, craftsmanship, and travel! Design was the regular decision I needed to get ready for my NATA selection test. It is a must for you to go into design school.
