Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course curriculum is divided into three phases. The first phase is of 1 year where we are taught the basics of all domains. 2nd phase is of 18 months with focus on specialised domains like Forensic science. The final phase is of 3 years that involves areas like general surgery, pediatrics etc. Exams are held annually. Mid term exams are also held time to time.

Placement Experience

4

Placement rate of our college is quiet good. Internship opportunities are also available. College offers 14 months internship for students. Many final year students have got placement in reputed hospitals in the city. The college offers opportunity to work with while pursuing MD to the students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee of the college is high. The first year fee is above 5 lakhs. For management quota it goes up to 10 lakhs. Educational loan facility is available for students. I applied for educational loan as the fee was quite hefty to manage. Admission letter from college is required to avail the educational loan.

Campus Life

3

Sports facilities are good. The ground is big enough for sports like cricket, football, hockey etc. Basketball court is also there where many a times seniors and juniors are seen having some fun time with one on one matches.

Admission

Sat for the NEET entrance exam. Qualified with a score in excess of 500. Picked the college in counseling. Was allotted a seat in the 3rd round as I was waiting for some other college so waited for 2-3 rounds of counseling. Post seat allotment I under went admission formalities at the campus.

Faculty

4.5

Faculty is quite professional and helpful. The teaching staff comprises of Doctors that are in practice. They are experts in their domain and guide us well in theoritical and practical aspects of the given subject. Many a times they try to explain us things by giving real life examples. This help in grasping things better.

Course Curriculum Overview:

MBBS course is four and half years long and these whole years is full of stress and emotional outburst. Portions covered are so vast which is covered in a minimum of 10 -13 months in the first three years and on one and half years on the fourth year. So there is no enough time for a student to study all these topics . KUHS has never been student friendly.

The new curriculum that is being implemented is the Competency Based Medical Education (CBME). It emphasizes medical ethics and professionalism. It includes more hand on clinical experience and patient interaction. Maintenance of proper records in log books both in academic and internship years.Encourages self directed learning. Its also comparable to international curriculum making it easier for students to have a familiar environment in overseas medical practice.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Its mbbs. The curriculum is really really hard and its obvious. But the myth that medical students cant have fun can be broken. First year is difficult if u fail then ull have to drop a year and will be able to give the exams only next year so u have to make sure you study but still me and my friends weree able to squeeze in outings parties trips to goa bglr etc. Its all about the perspective you can choose to have fun in any circumstance

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is so vast enough. Year by year the course curriculum is getting hectic. This makes the students more confusing in their curriculum. I personally think that the new curriculum the university has released is not helping the students as I have discussed with my friends
