The college was established nearly 7 years ago and has been doing good so far. However, there's still scope of improvement with regards to labs and few faculties. Other than that, establishment of a university in this state has done wonders for the rural area students.

The course curriculum is spread across 4 years, where the last year mostly includes experimental and in plant training. There are 8 semesters and exams are held at the end of each semester. The subjects taught are selected by keeping in mind the need of theoretical knowledge required.

Since this course requires an year of extensive training, students usually get placed in the place they're training for finally. Also, the college to conducts recruitment for students who wish to pursue teaching as their career.

Being a state university, the fee structure is pretty minimal and can be afforded easily by a middle class family as compared to those private colleges that require huge amount of money to provide education.

Variety of extracurricular activities such as participation in kisan mela, and workshops wherein things related to new technology are taught for students to understand the latest development in their subject. Apart from that, sports events are also organized.

A student needs to qualify his higher secondary exam with physics, chemistry, maths and english as his main subjects with an aggregate of 50%. There is reservation too for different categories, with state candidates filling most of the seats while 15% seats being filled on merit basis by marks secured in entrance examination conducted.

The faculty is well learned and industry experienced professionals. They teach subjects with keen interest and are always approachable for those who've doubts with regards to their subjects. They help wherever they can.
