The course curriculum is entirely different from other medical colleges. The course structure is more or less inspired by top international institutes, with more emphasis on practical learning. The Clinical Exposure we got, was a crucial step in order to get familiar with the practical environment for a doctor. The college provided us a more holistic approach to medicine through extensive workshops on patient communication, problem-based learning, medical ethics and history of medicine classes.

Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) course in this college includes 4 years of curriculum plus 1 year of rotating internship offered by Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai approved by Dental Council of India (DCI).

Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) was a four-year program, with an annual fee of around INR 1 lakh per year, which is quite nominal according to the facilities provided by the university. The hostel charges are also quite nominal. There is an auditorium, library which is quite decent and the labs are quite good too.

The Medical College pays a decent emphasis on extra-curricular activities such as inter-college sports activities, lot of cultural events, inter college competition, CDE programmes and medical workshops from specialists. Sangamam fest which is the big cultural fest of our college and it is one of the best reason to be in that college.

My admission was done on the basis of my NEET UG exam. You will also need an aggregate of 50% or more in class 12. It cost me around 1 lacs per year to do a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from karpaga vinayaga institute of dental science Fee Structure was quite decent when you evaluate it with the type of facilities provided by the College.

All the professors either had a doctorate or has excelled remarkably in their niche. All the faculty members had a plethora of experience in the teaching domain. The professors were updated with the latest advancements in the field of science. The faculty is quite cooperative, which enhances the possibility of your overall development. But most importantly they are updated with the all latest advancements in the medical society. One of the distinct factors which appeal to me was the extended attention paid to the ethics which should be followed by a doctor.
