mechanical engineering course follows semester system and has the duration of 4 years which equals to total 8 semesters.There is tremendous scope for mechanical engineers in automobile engineering, cement industry, steel, power sector, hydraulics, manufacturing plants, drilling and mining industry, petroleum, aeronautical, biotechnology and many more. the days and exams are generally hectic at the college with lots of research and classes.

the university aims at Imparting the necessary skills to meet the expectations of the industry for enhancing the employability of our students.they provide their students with internship facilities which help students bring out the best in them.the college provides with many job opportunities and placements to students .companies like amazon, infosys, buildnext come and recruit the students.

the fee structure of the college is quiet feasible .the mechanical engineering course at the college costs for about 40000 per years and as the course is of 4 years duration the total will cost around 1 lakh 60 thousand .hence it will not be wrong to say that the university has a feasible and affordable fee structure.

the university is as good in its extra curricular activities as in its education.they organise many seminars for their students development and provide them with the opportunity to learn and grow.they also conduct many college cultural programmes like fests and fates in which many other institutions take part and all the students get a good exposure .

Sree Ernakulathappan College of Engineering and Management (SETCEM) is established with an intent to provide a quality education that focuses on the comprehensive development of students, with special emphasis on the industrial and corporate interface to reinforce employability skills.To get admission, Eligibility is plus two or equivalent examination and should be qualified in the entrance examination conducted by the Govt. of Kerala. Minimum mark for qualifying examination is 50% in physics and chemistry put together and subject to a minimum of 50% in Maths .After the entrance exam ,you will be selected on the basis of merit and you will have to provide with necessary ceritifications.

the faculty of the college is very well qualified and experienced .every teachers has a great command over their respective subjects.they take classes regularly and bring out the best in students .they are also very helpful and supportive towards students .they encourage students in every possible way .
