Well-facilitated College

Shanmuga Industries Arts & Science College - [SIASC] is a reputed college in Tamil Nadu. It has good facilities for its staff, students and alumni. Students from this Co-Ed college attain confidence, knowledge about communication and become well-equipped in their fields.

Almost 600 students from the college have already been placed in reputed jobs. A few graduates have also opted for higher education or started their own business. The college provides a 60-hour placement training every year so that students become industry-ready.

The college students participate in events like hockey, marathon, women’s football tournaments & inter-college Kabaddi, badminton and volleyball tournaments. The students also participate in lectures, Swach Bharat Summer Internships and more.

The college has seven fully air-conditioned computer labs with a capacity to accommodate 400 students. It also has a digital language laboratory with 25 systems. Workshops, presentations, and seminars are conducted in the multimedia facilitated Seminar Hall.

Each department is connected with the alumni members and proud to report their achievements under the Alumni Strength board. As per the board, a few alumni members have become police officers, teachers, working in a private company or fisheries, etc.

In order to take admission into B.A. English or any other bachelor’s course, you need to submit your original 12th class mark sheet. Along with this, you need to pay INR 150 admission fee and submit an application, transfer certificate or any other document mentioned on the application. The fees for the postgraduate courses are INR 250 and the same process follows. The college has both day and night courses.

There are three major departments in the college namely Arts, Science, and Commerce. These have been sub-divided into many other departments. For example, the Arts has an English and Tamil department. There are 25 assistant professors in the English department alone. Each of them has M.A., M. Phil., B. Ed.or equivalently higher qualification. Similarly, each department has a faculty of well-qualified teachers.
