Remarks
I completed my B.Ed from St. Ann's College of Education. The college was nice with amazing teachers, I learnt and had lots of fun here. My overall experience here studying was quite good and I will recommend it for B.Ed as well as M.Ed too.
Course Curriculum Overview
The college is affiliated to Mangalore University. The syllabus is quite good. The examinations have no compulsion for exams to be written in English and can be written in Kannada, except for pedagogy papers which are dependent on the respective subject. The course is semester-based and examinations are held twice a year, as semesters examinations with practicals if present.
Placement Experience
There are many good job opportunities available after completing the course, one is eligible and can apply for CTET examination to become a government school teacher or apply with different schools for teaching. Teachers also help the students in getting placed.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee for first year for my B.Ed was Rs, 18000 and for the subsequent year was around Rs. 17000. So, the total fee was Rs. 35000 approx for the whole course duration, which I consider to be very cheap and feasible compared to other colleges.
Campus Life
The college has a good playground for students to practice respctive sports to support sportsmanship of students. The college also has a good library which has a wide variety of reference books, course books and different study materials. The college also has a well-equipped and functional computer lab.
Hostel Facilities
The college provides hostel facilities to both girls and boys. The hostels are well-ventilated and maintain proper hygiene, the hostels' rooms are quite comfortable and the hostel mess serves healthy and delicious food. The registration for hostel needs to be done at admission time.
Admission
The admission process to the college was quite easy as direct admission facility was available at the college. I submitted the required documents including my graduation marksheet and also submitted the admission fee.
Faculty
The teachers of the college is quite good and focuses on well-growth of students. The teachers are well experienced and have trained many famous teachers in city. The teachers are quite gentle and talk to us in a humble tone. I liked their behavior and support to stduents.
