Good Teaching Faculty and Infrastructure

I completed my B.E. Computer Engineering from Sigma Institute of Engineering. The college infrastructure was good and the faculty also helped us a lot. Apart from academics, co-curricular activities were also quite fun. We also had yearly industrial visits, during our study there.

College is affiliated by Gujarat Technological University and follows all the rules, regulations and syllabus recommended by it. The course mainly comprises of all the basic concepts required to strengthen the base for any CSE graduate

The college has signed an MoU with E-cell of IIT Bombay to empower entrepreneurship among students through established E-cell in college. The college also held a job fair in 2019 in which many companies participated and provided jobs to many students.

The college fee for the course B.E. Computer Engineering is around Rs. 60,000 charged per semester. The fee is quite expensive but worthy as per the provided education and facilities. Also, financially weak students can also apply for tuition fee waiver while filling the form for seat allotment.

There are also particular scholarship schemes for the course, for supporting both financially weak students and students with good academics provided by the government and the university. One can also apply for a loan via the Vidya Laxmi portal or by visiting respective banks.

The college actively participates in celebrations as Holi or World Environment day, also workshops and events are hosted on a regular basis. An event named Techshore was also held recently in our college. A hackathon was also organised in our college, other than that college also participates in intercollege sports competitions.

The college provides good hostel facilities for both girls' and boys' hostel. Some strict rules are amended in the hostel to ensure the security of students, also the rooms I visited were quite comfortable and good.

For admission in this college, I applied via the online ACPC site, and successfully got a seat in this college as when the merit list got declared, I was eligible for this college out of the filled choices I had. Then afterwards, I went to the college and got through a small interview by the teachers there along with all the documental work required. I submitted my exam form, with a small portion of the fee to ensure my seat in the college.

The delegated faculty for respective subjects are quite experienced and good. They always teach us in interesting ways, so even the boring topics are easily understood. The teachers were pretty helpful to us during the course duration apart academics too.
