Remarks

Overall IITM is a good college. It ranks among the top three colleges for BCA in IPU.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is quite outdated in IPU as the syllabus was last updated in 2011. The institute provides summer and winter training courses as well to cope up with the current industry requirements. Industrial visits are also organized by the institute.

Placement Experience

Placements are provided by Wipro, Amazon, BT Global etc. The pre-placements drive is also conducted by the institute to prepare the students for placements. Internship cell is also there in the institute.

College Events

IPU Fests are held each year, i.e., Anugoonj. Whereas the institute organises the fiesta every year in which outstanding performances are hosted and a well known singer performs a concert. The pricing is a bit quite high for fiesta. Fiesta is conducted 2 days in a row. The first is in the campus and on the second day it is held at Talkatora Stadium, New Delhi.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is broken into two main parts. 40-45k goes to the university and the rest goes to the institute. Fees are around 90k per year. The college does provide full transparency in the fee breakdown. And there is also a management quota in the institute.

The college does provide scholarship opportunities to the students. The university also provides the scholarship.

Campus Life

The campus life at IITM is not as of big DU colleges or Big campus areas. Workshops and seminars are organised by the institute. The institute has a majority of Delhi students. The gender ratio is almost equal at IITM Janakpuri. Cultural societies are also there.

Alumni/Alumna

The college does organise an alumni meet every year. They tell us about the strategy one should plan on getting inside the industry.

Admission

I chose this institution as it was near my house. The process for admission was really simple. IPU CET and Counseling. That's it. After the counselling is done, the student needs to go to the college on the respective dates as notified by the university and enrol themselves in the institute.

Faculty

The class mentor is assigned for every batch and lecturers are quite experienced with their subjects. Most of the lecturers have PhDs. Program coordinators are also friendly with the students and are available for any issues regarding anything. To conclude, the faculty is really good at IITM.

A decent college experience with room for improvment

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is fairly relevant and covers most of the imortant subjects needed for our feild.It provides a good foundation and helps in understanding the basics clearly. many topics are for real world application can also help in further studies.However the curriculum could be improved by adding more practical sessions real projects and updated industry oriented content. Some subjects feel a bit theoritical so more hands on learning would make cource stronger. The exam schedule is manageable with internal external and internal assessments held at regular intervals. The difficulty level of exam is modrate and we students can perform well with study.Overall curriculam is decent but can become more comprehensive with few updates.

Placements are also very good for a bachlor course my seniors have got package upto 4lpa and many are placed as junior developer in many MNCs . Some are building their own business . overall best college in Delhi Ncr for bca without maths students.

Remarks:

Can't say, first of all it's distance education and the lifestyle is such that it's ok to have what they have offered us in such a price range. Classes take place on weekends and hence you can hang out with friends outside the premises.
