Good private university

It is a good university. The fee is high as compared to colleges but still is a very good college with good campus life.

In my course, they give an in-depth knowledge of all the subjects of nutrition and also, help in grooming the students for industrial exposure. Currently, for our course, on-campus placements are not available but with good knowledge, one can always find ways. There are industrial visits in each semester which provides the students with an immense amount of knowledge.

Right now, there are no on-campus placements for our department of nutrition and dietetics but with the amount of knowledge, one can always make ways for himself. But the placements for other departments are fairly good.

There are various events held occasionally and students are able to take part in other activities they are interested in. CU- Fest is held every year and is a very big event. There are other events as well which are held every year. The campus life is very good.

The fee for my course is 50,000/ semester. However, if you have scored better marks in your 12th standard, you can ask for concessions and they help with it but you have to maintain particular marks for the continuation of this concession. College provides complete transparency. There are no additional charges except for 2000rs security fees.

I haven't got any scholarship as for now. But people can get through the scholarship exams held every year for admission.

Campus life is good. There are many places to eat and chill with your friends. There is almost no discrimination on any basis in our university. The gender ratio can be said almost equal however for departments, there are fluctuations in the ratio. In our department, there are more girls than boys.

We haven't had any interaction with the alumni till now but the senior students of our department are very helpful. There is no ragging of any sort.

In Punjab, only 2-3 colleges/ universities offered this course, Chandigarh University was one of them and is considered one of the best private universities in Punjab, I was ready to opt for this institution. A scholarship exam is held every year for the admission process in this university for the students of our country as well as the international students, which is optional.

The faculty of our department is really good. Some teachers in our department are PhD holders and with many years of teaching experience. This is a great advantage for students studying there. The teachers are helpful and guide and motivate us in many ways. Seminars are held frequently of the topics related to health by the famous doctors and dietitians to provide us with better knowledge.
