Remarks

The one reason for choosing this college was that it offers a good specialization in CSE which is not offered by most of the engineering colleges in Delhi NCR and that is CSE with machine learning.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is well defined and as is in line with AICTE approved syllabus. Apart from the basic CSE syllabus, the course lays it focuses on machine learning which is a new area in the domain. Exams are held in a semester-wise manner. A single year of a course comprises 2-semester examinations. The first-semester examination is the odd semester examination and the second one is even semester. The Odd semester examinations are held mostly in December and January and even semester examinations are held in the month of May and June. In between the semester, mid-term examinations are also held.

Placement Experience

3

The placement rate of our college is decent. I will not say that it is good or high as 50% to 60% of students from a batch get placements through campus placement each year. However, if someone puts his own efforts he/she can get a job in good companies like most of our seniors have done. In terms of internship, one has to manage the internship itself as the college is not providing any internship. The placement cell of the college can guide you in this regard.

Fee Structure And Facilities

In terms of fees, I can say that the fee of our college is on a bit higher side and this can be expected from private colleges. the fee for the first year comes around 1.2 to 1.3 lacs and is to be paid at the time of admission. In total one has to pay around 4.5 to 5 lakh for a 4-year program. This can be a hefty amount for someone from economic weaker section or middle-class family. Thus, loan facilities are available and scholarships are also offered.

Fees and Financial Aid

Delhi government offers scholarships to students from economically weaker sections and reserved categories studying in colleges in Delhi. So one can avail benefit from the scholarship. Apart from that, the central government offers scholarships to the student in form of a national scholarship portal. In terms of educational loans, one can avail of the education loan from any private or public sector bank. To avail of the loan, one has to submit the admission letter to the bank.

Campus Life

3.5

Extracurricular activities are something that is not very much popular in our college. Through events like sports meet, freshers party and annual fests are organized there is nothing in terms of extracurricular activities. Classrooms and labs are well equipped and the infrastructure of the college can be said to be quite good. The labs are well equipped with all the equipment and in the classroom, we have all the necessary paraphernalia are there that are required to be there in an Engineering college.

Admission

I appeared for the JEE Main entrance examination. On clearing the examination I applied for this college and got it in the letter rounds of on the counseling. I was initially trying to get into the NIT however since my score was not that much I settled for this college.

Faculty

4

The faculty of the college is experience and most of the teachers have obtained Ph.D. level knowledge in the subject. The emphasis is on making us understand the core principles of coding and machine language learning as the course demands one to understand the basic element of it rather than learning subjects like it is a theoretical one. The teachers are also quite cooperative and helpful and many times I have visited them for my queries after the class and they were very receptive towards my call.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.

The placements are in good terms, many students get a placement with nice package. Students become eligible for campus placements from 3rd Semester. TCS made about 7 offers as far as I know. One can expect the highest package of 2.5crore and an average of 200000. About 80% of students gets placement because of the skills they learned wheres the rest 20% are only at college to do mischievous acts. After getting the degree, I will find a job and then after enough capital I will start my own startup.

The frequency of the exams is 2 times a year once in the month of December and once in the month of May. Internal exams (tests) are conducted in between to continuously evaluate you during the course. According to me, the exam should be conducted before itself, so that we can get more time for internship opportunities.
