So far the journey at NIBM has been amazing with lots of ups and downs. But it is the experience that students take away from here after the 2 years of life at NIBM.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure is a rigorous one focusing on the core finance topics throughout the curriculum. The topics are taught using real-life data and case studies. Moreover, there are regular visits from Industry Experts for guest lectures and the students get a lot of opportunities to interact with these experts.
Placement Experience
The college has an excellent record of 100% placements every year. The students are placed in various field of finance in some of the best financial institutions of the country. Before the placements begin, the students are also prepared for it by conducting mock interviews.
College Events
The list of events in college is a long one. The Cultural Committee makes sure every festival is celebrated in the college with utmost enthusiasm. The Sports Committee actively organises various sports events in the college and ensures there is active participation from the majority of the students. The Fest Committee organises the annual fest of NIBM - Adhikosh and also another technical event - Colloquium where participants from all over the country come and learn.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Comparing the fee structure of NIBM with other B-Schools, the fees charged are comparatively less. However, the total fees do not include the mess bill and this has to be paid separately. And the ROI of the institute is also very good in comparison to various other B-Schools.
Fees and Financial Aid
The loan facilities can be availed very easily from a majority of the Banks. Some banks even provide collateral-free loans at very cheap rates.
Campus Life
Unlike many other colleges, the campus is located in a busy locality of the city, meaning accessibility to most of the things that we might need from outside. The campus itself is a beautiful lush green one with a variety of flora and fauna. There is always something available to keep you occupied during the non-classroom hours.
Alumni/Alumna
The college has a huge alumni base serving at various positions in different financial institutions all around the world. It also has a strong alumni network where the students can interact with the Alumni directly.
Admission
The first round of screening is done on the basis of test scores. The scores of entrance tests that are accepted are CAT, CMAT & XAT. The cutoff scores for all the tests are different. This is followed by a WAT & PI round. The WAT & PI round generally occurs in the month of April.
Faculty
The faculty staff are themselves experts in their relevant fields like Treasury, Risk Management, Bank Lending, Marketing, Mergers & Acquisitions, etc. Each faculty uses different methodologies to teach the subjects according to the needs of that particular subject.
