Remarks

The college management only cares about me. No effort is made to improve or motivate the students who fail to perform academically well.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

The course curriculum is obsolete and not relevant to the current world. It is absolutely not research driven. The only way is mug up all the important points and vomit it out during the exams. Just a formality. The only contribution made is validation/making me eligible for jobs.

Placement Experience

2

A few handful of students get placed very well compared to their qualification. But most of the students end up getting very low salaries or no job at all. A few students get good internships but 90 percent of them dont.

College Events

2

Foundation day is celebrated in college to mark the anniversary of college. College week is also celebrated in alternate years. Substandard food is provided. The participation is not that great. The scale of event is good like the function is big. No technical function is held. Management function is also not held.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The programme fee of my course is INR 130000. They accept both card payment as well as cash but idk why the accountants there prefer the payment mode to be in cash. No such additional charge has to paid to secure admission. Yes, the college provides transparency in the fee breakdown. I think the fee is feasible compared to other colleges.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

No, the college doesn't offer any scholarship opportunities to students according to best of my knowledge.

Campus Life

3.5

Gender ratio is fairly equal in my college like its 40 girls to 50 boys. Students have parties regularly in the nice cafes of the city. Some of the students are very regionalistic and make verbal abuses/silently dissent to outsiders. Otherwise most of the students are very much tolerant. Economic status is mostly are from middle income families. 99percent of the students are straight most probably coz orientation is not shared publicly here. Political inclinations are blind. No logic anything just blindly believe in social media and support what it seems cool/trendy.

Hostel Facilities

1.5

No, i haven't opted for hostel as i live in the same town. The hostel rooms are quite okayish and is on a sharing basis.the food served is pathetic. Many opt for pgs despite the higher fee coz they get to enjoy freedom and better services.

Alumni/Alumna

I don't know any of the college alumnis. I haven't heard of any alumni meet held in my college. College seniors are mostly helpful and provide help.

Admission

I got admission by submitting the application form. I visited the college to enquire about the admission process and bought a form which after filling all the details i submitted. I was eligible to take admission so i took the admission by paying the semester fees. Date- Probably june month of 2017

Faculty

2.5

No. Of lecturers-5 avg age- 30 qualification- post graduation/phd. They hold no expertise in the subjects they teach. All they do is just teach for the sake of teaching, get paid and done. No relevant industry experience/certifications exist. Most of the teachers have degrees from commerce background as my course is commerce.

I didn't research the course much before joining so I can't comment on its specific aspects that influenced my decision. It needs more up-to-date information a. t it was difficult to keep up with assignments and the overall difficulty was moderate.

The course curriculum is very good. As i am studying Bcom it is very helpful to understand the business or market world or companies how to make a product to understand a product from various aspects including pros and cons. Overall theory is the traditional method some practical methods should be applied to make it more realistic to business world which will enhance ones vision towards business world.

The teaching methods should be improved a little bit because some of the students can't able to understand what the teacher is teaching and the teacher should do little funny things in between the class so the students can get comfortable with the teacher and able to understand quickly what the teacher is teaching

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.com gives a holistic overview of the stream i.e, commerce. It also opens door to many opportunities I guess. I'm the first batch of NEP where more importance has been given to vocational education, but I guess it is still not upto mark. Even now more emphasis is given on theory but it will change with time. They should give more emphasis on real world applications and internships etc. Exams are conducted on time.

Faculty members were quite slow in some aspects. Yet they need to work on the staff for the admission department. Would definitely look up for improvement for the coming sessions. Haven't had any class yet due to covid but they say it's gonna start soon. Hope we don't lose out this year.
