Remarks
The college is relatively new hence exposure to other colleges is limited. The individual student's attention is high. The college offers an all-expense-paid trip to Singapore once during the course which is usually a crowd puller. The management is open and easily approachable. Students play a strong role in deciding the activities and fests and give students exposure to real-life problems.
Course Curriculum Overview
ISME is affiliated with Bangalore University, hence the curriculum is given by the University. The content for BBA is generic, easy, and not very relevant to today's world. ISME tries to implement research-driven education and inculcates certain skill-oriented classes as and when possible along with industrial visits.
Placement Experience
The College has about a 98-100% placement record. TCS, Walmartlabs, Byjus, Kotak Bank, EY, etc. Are some of the companies that come for both placements as well as internships. The college has special classes for placement, preparing students for interviews, resumes, etc. The college has a placement cell that facilitates the above. The recruitment process is a 3 fold process. 1- Briefing, 2- Interview, 3- GD, and final interview.
College Events
The college has a separate cultural committee that is responsible for all intra-college activities. Freshers Day, Cultural Week, Diwali Celebration, etc. are some of them in college celebrations. The College organizes an annual Model United Nations Conference, Management Fest, and a Youth Fest with an average turn out of about 200 participants.
Fee Structure And Facilities
There is complete transparency of the fee break-up. The Fee for my batch is 1,36,000 per annum. An additional 45,000 has to pay as a nonrefundable deposit and a one-time security deposit of Rs. 15,000 has to be paid which is refundable. An additional Rs. 10,000 has to be paid in lieu of books every year. Each semester exam fee of approximately Rs. 3,000 per semester, ie. Rs. 6,000 per annum had to be paid online directly to Bangalore University. The college accepts payment in Cash, Card, DD, Cheque, RTGS.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college does not offer scholarships. They help students with educational loans if needed. The complete fees, books, hostel, etc. Can be paid via a student loan. I have not opted for it, hence my knowledge about it is poor.
Campus Life
Campus Life is monotonous. Evenings are enjoyable, with free time and an aesthetic hostel environment. Weekly activities are held for the whole college along with the Post Grad students. There are multiple clubs- CSR, E Cell, Literary, Communi, Fit, etc. The club activities are fun. There is a cultural committee in the college elected via elections and Interviews. Gender Ratio: 5:1(M: F). Lots of workshops and seminars are held throughout the year by industrial experts. The college nor the students have any bias at all towards any gender, religion, ethnicity, race, sexual orientation, politics, and economic background.
Alumni/Alumna
The BBA department is new. The advantage of ISME is that the BBA has access to the same professors teaching the Post Grad students, as well as workshops and seminars for the Post Grad students. The BBA students work hand in hand with the PG students, hence getting to know the experience and knowledge of people who have worked in the industry.
Admission
The admission process is a 2 step system. Step 1- an online test that has to be completed within the speculated time which involves logic, arithmetic, communication skills, etc. Step 2- Direct Interview with Micro Presentation with faculty of the institute. The interview looks into your interests, your communication skills, your GK, your subject knowledge, and so on.
Faculty
We have about 8 lecturers, the average age being around 35 years old. Qualifications range from Ph.D. to Post Graduation. Most of the faculty have worked in the industry, hence are able to give us relevant and real-life examples. The faculty are welcoming and understanding, and encourage students to visit their cabins at any time of the day for any subject-related queries.
