Nutrition and Dietetics in Chandigarh University

Overcall conclusion is that not huge not least my college is best as I have spent here two years, learnt various things technically and at the personal level. Hope every student has the same story.

The course curriculum of the Nutrition and Dietetics is very judiciously prepared to provide us with every single benefit from all sciences associated with the human body from the human physiology, immunity to the food science, food processing and its role in diet planning and variation as per the BMR, weight, height, age, gender etc. We have been provided Industry exposure to the Bonn private limited and looking forward more with the training in the reputed hospitals near CU, Mohali

Placement depends on our self learning and applying the learnt concepts and principles and moreover smartness and good social rapport building and technical knowledge as a whole.

Since our joining in the department and the University we have been exposed so many platforms to show out our hidden talents either in songs, dance, speech, declamation, artistic, cooking etc as they also help in developing and grooming of ours as a whole.

Its would be compensatory if you prove you're worthwhile acclimatizing to the environment of the Department as well as CU in academics, co-curricular activities and other inter-university tournaments, contests and bring accolades to the University by discounting the fees, scholarships, specials benefits in the fees.

I have not availed any benefit for the educational loan but yes I am a scholar for my academic performance in my studies.

Campus life as enthusiastic, freaky, socially interactive and secure from the safety point of view. Various youth clubs for computers, literary, sports, dietetics, environment club etc have been existing and organize various events from time to time. Robotics, mechatronics, computers and other hi-tech events are conducted once a year at University level to push the students to show their innovation etc.

We have been the first batch in the Nutrition and Dietetics but for sure like in other departments, there is an Alumnus Network projected and working at University level to interact and progress as a whole from their gettogether every year.

I have got admission in the College through its reputation in North India regarding the vocational and best placements in North. I opt for this course Nutrition and Dietetics as it is my passion to become a Dietician and I found myself very much perfect in that. The overall teachers, learning environment and the infrastructure of the University are at the top. I found initially a bit fussy but soon it was clear with time and more conceptual and focused.

The faculty of our department has vast experience in Nutrition, Dietetics, Food science and processing and its applications in the current scenario with the changing lifestyle and newly evolved diseases and need of the hour. The lectures, practicals, assignments and other assessment patterns we follow all related to self-development and learning and conceptual clarity if stuck somewhere with the live examples around us by the teachers.
