Review of Dental College

The worst thing about our college is the administration. They dominate us in every possible way and the only thing our boss understands is money. In many instances we have got very less support from our college and administration.

The exam structure is good but can be made better. It is relevant. The classes are more information based and often spoon-fed thus more practical scenarios should be brought in. Now-a-days various types of conferences and seminars are held though to give us information about many relevant practical knowledge.

I am doing a rotatory Internship in the hospital linked with our college. It is a wonderful experience working here. The patient flow is good unlike many private institutions.

Annually we have our CULTURAL fest- DREAMZ in the month of February. Our fest is covered by Times of India.It is quite an experience. Pupils studying over here gets an exposure to various cultural stages. We also attend the annual cultural programme of IDA in West Bengal.

The fee structure though is very expensive even when I am getting the admission thourough a state level Joint ENTRANCE exam. The time I took admission was still feasible for middle class family but now the present fee structure which is around 1.5lakhs per annum is huge. For management quota they had to pay even much greater amounts.

No I didn't opted for any scholarships or education loan. Though what I know for educational loans one have to keep their exam percentage above 60%.

The gender ration in our campus is more girl student than boys. Their are various clubs in cultural topics participating in various other college fests. Our college support every kind of human walking over here. Labs in the campus is average. Not Air-conditioned. But the classrooms are now smart, digital, flip classrooms.

No I didn't opted for hostel as I am a resident of Kolkata itself. I took a PG nearby in 3rd year. The rentals are quite reasonable. I shared the flat with 3 more girls. Average rent including electric and water bill stood around 3k. The fooding arrangements though is horrifying.

There is no alumni association in our college. Simply the administration don't want any pressure from outside. But yes I have personally known many seniors. They are quite helpful. Thier names have helped me in college in various ways.

I wrote WEST BENGAL JOINT ENTRANCE EXAM in 2015. I got this college in counseling process according to my Rank. I always wanted to be a doctor hence I gave the exam and got this college. I had no previous prenominations about this college but when I walked in I was impressed with the campus.

The number of lectures for each subject yearly is around 75-80. Many teachers are great imparting a more practical based knowledge in us. Though few teachers just spoon-fed us. The lectures mostly uses audio-visual aids. Various book-fairs and certified seminars by various famous personalities are nowadays held. We got to attend many CDE seminars too.
