Remarks

I don't have any bad remarks for my college. My college has already started to give me so much which I might haven't got from other colleges even this being my very first year. I am totally impressed by college management, it's history, it's unique facts and it's achievements. Despite being a State Engineering college, CoEP has same values like an IIT. Also the college is situated in the heart of the pune city in shivaji nagar. Overall this is a very good college to pursue graduation from. Here one gets a very good experience of college life and academics. The environment here is very competitive and nurturing for individual development.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

It is very relevant. The course changes after every 4 years which includes modifications in the earlier course by incliding latest discovered technologies and invented instruments. It also helps us getting the industry specific knowledge. Our seniors also discuss with us about their industrial visits.

Placement Experience

4.5

The no. Of placements and internships are getting increased day by day. Not only in field of Engineering, students of our college are also clearing exams such as GATE, UPSC and MPSC.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure varies catagory wise and economical condition wise. Highest fee paid by an Maharastrian general catagory student is around Rs.90000,which is less than many private colleges. There is transparency in fees breakdown. Fees can be paid in both ways online or in cash payment but online way is preferred for fast processing of admission. No additional fees is taken.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

Our college offers both government and non-government scholarship opportunities to all students. For the non-government scholarships faculty members of the college scrutinize the students who have applied for these scholarship on the basis of need and then the selected names are forwarded to scholarship provider. Then personal interviews are taken by scholarship prividing officials and once the final list is made then scholarship os awarded. Many providers also give training to the students to make them corporate ready.

Campus Life

4.5

The college is divided into thouree parts north campus, south campus and hostel campus, but this in not the fault of college. But it's fun. We students spent our time in library, labs, boat club canteen and electrical department garden and do many things. Gender ratio is surely greater than that prescribed by government. Our college has cultural team which has won many competitions such as Firodiya Karandak and Purushottam karandak. Our college sports teams has won various competitions by participating in other colleges fests and in our college sports fest 'Zest'. There is no tolerance and ragging practiced in our college. Students from all over the world study with harmony. We surely follow "Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam"

Hostel Facilities

4

No I haven't opted for hostel. I live in a PG with my two elder sisters. The PG has monthly 12 thousand rent. Although I didn't opted for hostel, the hostel seats are very less. Many students who want to stay in hostel have to stay in other private hostels and PG because of the lack of seats in college hostel.

Admission

The admission process takes place thourough CAP rounds. There are 3 to 4 CAP rounds taking place every year after the declaration of the results of MHT-CET exam (which is the intrance test) and getting our general and catagory ranks. While the procedure and criteria is quite different for J&K srudents, Foreign students since they also have their special quotas. I chose this college because it's the no. 1 state engineering college in Maharashtra and is also very similar to many IITs.

Faculty

4

Most of the professors are very high educated. Many of them are engineering students themselves. They have also completed other courses such as MBA, MSc. etc. Many of them are working on their researches for their PhD while others have already achieved it. All professors are very helpful.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As every Diploma passing student enters to degree college same process I went through. The faculty of the college are well educated and hardworking. As a student, you have to reach out to your faculty and maintain a good relation with them to get constant support from them. the ratio is 25:1. The teaching method of professors is very professional. Exams are as per the government regulations and the difficulty level is moderate for general students.

Placement Experience:

Students are encouraged to take internships from the moment they are confident and can handle responsibility. They are eligible for placements after semester 4. Approximately 60+ companies visit the campus every year and they take an average of 4-5 offers. For instance, the highest package can be 40+lpa from Microsoft. 90-100% placements happen every year. My plan after getting the degree is to acquire a placement and work with the organization.
