Remarks

Oru college has a very big college building with a lot of rooms which are not properly utilized. Our college releases less fund for event and cultural activities because of which we students are not able to enjoy college life to the fullest. Oru college is one of the very few Institute to gain 100% placements every single year.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The Course is Bsc Hospitality and Hotel Administration ( Bsc H & HA ). It is a professional 3 year degree program with 6 semester with one semester for Industrial training at a 5 star property around India or abroad. The course includes 4 core subjects ( food production, food and beverage service, Front office, housekeeping )

Placement Experience

5

Our college has been gaining 100% placement every year for various 5 star Hotel and retail companies all around India. Oberois, Trident, Hyatt, Zuri, Marriot, Raviz, Casino, Club Mahindra, Leela, Taj, Reliance Retail, Aravind Lifestyle ect are a few to name. The College has IET program ( Industrial Exposure Training ) where we are send across 5 star hotels in India. Stipend varies from hotel to hotel.

4.5

Our college has and conducts a number of events every year as per the NCHMCT calendar such as Catabreak ( Arts ), Mofusal ( Food Fest ), Theme Dinner / Lunch, Chef Competition, F & B competitions, Mocktail Competition, Table laying competition, service competitions, Onam celebration, Chouristmas Celebration, Holi ect are some of them.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Our college is a State Government institute affiliated to IGNOU University and has a government fees structure ( Around 45000 per semester excluding Hostel fees ) with around 240000 for 3 years divided into 6 semesters

Fees and Financial Aid

The central and state Government offers a number of student scholarship for us under different schemes. The College is part of e-grand scholarship given to students having an annual income of less than 1 lakh.

Campus Life

4

Ouu Institute has a number of extracurricular activities conducted on monthly basis. Our college conducts inter college activities such as Chef Competition, Food and Beverage service competitions, sports, programs on different occasions, competition in special days such as women's day, Independence day, Tourism day, Environmental day ect. Oru college does not hold any Political influent and nothing of such kind is appreciated. The college follows a anti raging cell, public speaker talks ect

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Oru College has a off premises Hostel facility Currently, and a new college hostel us under construction to be open by this year. The hostel accommodates around 150 students in total with 3 - 4 in a single room with attached bathouroom, study table ect.

Alumni/Alumna

The passed out seniors visit the college whenever possible to interact with us and to share their industrial experiences so far, this helps us students to gain confidence and knowledge about the current hotel trend and working conditions.

Admission

I prepared and appeared for JEE - NCHMCT thourough which I gained a rank of 11015. Once the entrance is cleared, we can apply for Hotel Management Institutes all around India which are under NCHMCT ( IHM, SIHM, other private Colleges ). There are 3 rounds of selection in which we are allotted different Institutes according to the JEE ranks out of which we can choose our preferred college or Institute. Once a institute had been choosen, we are supposed to go and report at the Institute and continue the normal admission processes. I have been always attracted to the hotel industry from childhood which in future gave me a chance to perseue the same.

Faculty

4

All the facilities at the college are professional staffs with high industrial experience in all the core subjects they are handling. They have very good teaching and practical knowledge that they use in the classes making the class hours much interesting
