Remarks
None in addition i have covered most aspects in previous questions. But one thing that I would like to congratulate ABS is on the placements and the infrastructure facilities. There is no match, in these two areas fees is on a higher side that's the only minus I see.
Entrance Preview
ABS considers CAT score as well for selection in MBA, I got a percentile of 90 and selected this college for its reputation on good placements and infrastructure.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum was excellent with specific focus on practicals my marketing courses included a lot of presentations, and classroom discussions apart from regular coursework.
Internships Opportunities
I did my internship from Indian Oil they did not come to our college but through a reference got selected. I got insights into marketing of Petroleum products and their pricing. No stipend was provided during this period however top companies come for internships like tcs, hcl etc.
Placement Experience
Well this was the main attraction for me to join amity business school. The B school Management has good connections with corporate world and many top companies come to campus for recruitment like Blue Star, Bajaj Allianz, GE Capital, Dabur, Birla Sunlife.
College Events
Amity business school organises amity youth festival every year this is fun packed with a lot of cultural events, skits, songs, quizzes, plays etc, competitions both technical and non technical in nature, band plays. The event gets a huge sponsorship from various multinationals and a strong participation from them. This one is a three day fest. In addition, extracurricular activities including sport events, music events are quite common throughout the year.
Fee Structure And Facilities
This is a slight negative when compared to govt colleges the fee is around 2L per semester, which i feel is on a higher side. However, with assured placement, I feel it is worth it.
Fees and Financial Aid
No, I am not aware of the loan part for the scholarship part, I know that students may be given scholarship at the end of the first year on merit basis if their family income is less than Rs 75,000/yr.
Campus Life
The college has an even gender ratio no disparities, no differences are seen. The college fosters a culture of equality. In my entire course duration, I did not face (or see) any issue pertaining to race/religion and/or economic disparities among students.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel and mess are clean and well maintained hostel rents (although, I did not opt for), are around 70K for Non AC and 140k for AC rooms per year.
Alumni/Alumna
Strong alumni network and their strong presence could also be seen in the way they had been sponsoring events and helping placements of students in various companies.
Exam Structure
It was a combination of periodic tests and regular exams all well balanced. Certain professors preferred surprise tests where-in questions were asked from the last discussed case study. So, yes, there would be continuous evaluation of yours but if you are regular with your studies you should not worrying.
Faculty
Excellent faculty a lot many faculty members are Ph.D themselves and some have joined the college from some other very reputed previous colleges such as IIM Lucknow.
