Chandigarh university review

Chandigarh university is a great place for a student who wants to learns and make a place for himself in the world but CU candbe harsh for someone who only seeks fun and entertainment. For the worker and learner CU provides infinite oppertunities to watch, interact and learn from some of the very best in the business.But concentration and focus is key for success in CU as a underfocused student can loose its way in this humongous university.

The BSC in animation vfx and gaming is not one of the basic or say common course but still CU keeps the course updated and tries to implement new practises with frequently changing industry thus keeping in mind about every aspect of animation vfx and gaming.

My college is well known in north India for providing one of the in campus placements in whole india and boast some of the major companies and studios such as disney, microsoft, amazon etc in placement drives.

The no.of events that are celebrated in CU are staggering as CU not only hosts major events on national level but has been hosting events on international levels with huge success. Some of the recent events are GLC (global law conference), PUYF(punjab university youth fest), AIUIYF (international youth festival).

Fee shall be submitted semester wise before the start of the sem for registration. For BSC animation vfx and gaming the sem fees is 60000 plus examination and security fees total which is 63500, other fees include hostel fee and transport both of which vary.

CUSAT is a national level exam for scholarship cum entrance exam which is held in july anually. Other than that scholar ships are give on the basis of merit in the 12th exam. Student can apply for scholarships based on their merits in academics as well as their performance levels in sports. Students who pass 12th exams with more than 90 percent are give hugh scholarships on their academic fees, and are promoted for further benefits in academics such as exchange programs with other universities.

One can be whatever they want to be in CU. There are plenty of extra curricular activities, sport, labs etc. Participation in such activities is highly encouraged by the college. For most of the activites such as sports or studies there are clubs which arrange programs and functions frequently to attract students and to promote their club goals.

Hostels are actually very good in CU and the food is decent. Every facility is available in the hostel area. The hostel fee varies from 87500 to 150000 depending on the type of rooms the student opts for.

In my batch, we are blessed with some very helpful and friendly seniors. Seniors and alumi have been in touch with us juniors and have been actively participated with us on a number of projects.one such case was with our some of our alumi who passed the college just 1 year before our batch came in college, they are actively working on some of the top level 3D art and have been publich and recognised globally in animation industry for their work they came and showed us their work and progress during their time in CU, this further motivated us to bear better results.

I scored more than the cut off for the course and applied in the university thus got admission in CU. Others may have to give an entrance exam or pass an interview for admission in their preferred course, which depends on the course you are opting for. Conveniently enough there is a office of CU in every state capital and the procedure for admission can be initiated by both physically contacting the office or by directly applying online.

This is where chandigarh university is a level above its competition, here we have 27 faculties for just animation as compared to 5-6 in chitkara the nearmost to CU in animation. Some of the most experienced teachers are available at CU for example one of the faculties has even worked with Ram mohan who is titled as the father of indian animation.
