Remarks

Dr. Virendra Swaroop Institute Of Computer Studies is the best college for a BCA student. Environment is healthy, faculty is highly qualified, discipline is speciality here and placement rate is the best thing of the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course curriculum is the best here in Dr.VSICS comparing to all other professional course colleges in kanpur. Exam structure is very much efficient in taking out the best out of a candidate.there 6 semesters in BCA, 2 semesters in a year. In every semester there is a semester exam cunducted by the university and an internal exam cundeucted by the college

Placement Experience

As far i have heard about the placement, placement rate is about 70%.most of the international recruiters like infosys, wipro, capegemini, tcs etc. recruit a large amount of students. Students from other colleges also take part in placement drives.

College Events

There are various technical and cultural events which are held anually.there is an annual cultural event which is celebrated every year on a large scale. There is also a sports meet celebrated every year in which students take part an show their athleticism.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Annual fee for BCA is 43000. if i say it semesterwise it is 21500. And there are some other expenses like workshops and events which cost up to 6000 anually if you participate.if you can't afford the fees you can get the scholarship by government.

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't think there is any specific scholarship or loan facility provided by college. One can talk with the management for if he is need. There is a govrnment scholarship facility which is very much benefical.

Campus Life

Extracurricular activities are occassional here. Labs are regular. You will get full benefits from lab and library. But sports are held once in a year and everybody is allowed to take part and show their talent.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I have not opted for the hostel, and i think there i not any facility provided by college. In case you are an outsider you can search for hostels nearby in Google. There are many such hostels nearby whch provide good facility in affordable price.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

This is a weak point of college. freshers can't interact with seniors because college timings for different batches are different. Freshers can meet seniors only in events and sports meet which is held once in a year.

Admission

BCA is a fusion of technical and management both. This was the most interesting feature which attracted me to take admission for BCA. Talking about the college, it is the most highest rated college for academics and placement both.

Faculty

Every faculty is highly quqlified and efficient in teaching. their teaching methods are very much effective for the students. the best thing is that inspite of being professionals they familiarly interact with the students for clearing their doubts.

Think before you opt for this college.

Likes

The infrastructure and greenery was really good. Play grounds, running track and a sports building. There were respective charges for availing any sports facility like gym, swimming etc.
College fest was average with the college inviting well known artists like Milind Gabba, Nikita Gandhi, Raftar etc.
Girls- boys ration is good but the quality of students and environment is below average.

Dislikes

None of the teachers were highly trained to teach subject matter. The administration was always finding ways to fine students may it be for attendance or any hostel related expenses.
Hostel food was real trash. After even complaining on a regular basis it was upto no good.
There were many restrictions for hostel students like for even going out we needed passes and had to call our parents, they don't provide leave if u want to go home during the session.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement are been done but they force u to sit for non core companies. Like I was doing BCA and I had to sit for slaes, marketing and in field sales persons job interviews. Mass eecruiters like infosys and wipro also came which they take like 200 to 300 students.

There are many placements made even though KCCILHE is a new college. Companies that visited the campus are HCL, TCS, Cognizant, etc. 80-85 % of students are placed. After completing my graduation in BCA from KCCILHE I will prepare for NIMCET for further studies.

Real world experience with Good Projects

First i went to 2 to 3 colleges in kanpur that are PSIT, AXIS college, KIT and then my college which is Dr. Virendra Swarup Institute of Computer Studies the reason to visit these colleges it to compare the fees structure and and all other things like palcement support, library and all other factors. And when i compared the fee structure of my college with the other colleges it was less as compared to others my college fees was 150000 for 3 years and rest are like 200000, 250000 and 300000. and in my college first we have to clear the kanpur university paper then we can take admission and the cutoff for this paper is 60% and your overall academic percentage should not be less than 50%. I did not received any rejection from any colleges i rejected the colleges because of lack of amenities and outdated curriculum and when i comapred my college with others it has all updated curriculam with good labs and libraries which was not good there in other colleges i visited....Read More

I went to the PSIT for the same course but i Choose the VSICS only because the fees is low comare to PSIT , The education quality is also good and the timing of the collge is too less so thee is no wastege of time even the Placement of BCA batch is too good compare to the PSIT. For the Admission first we need to go for the counselling session after the counselling we get to know about the eligibilty that there should be atleast 60% in Intermediate with maths when the all process was done we need to connect with the administrative office for the fees submission according to the fees slab which is depende in the intermediate score...Read More

My Honest Experience at VISCS

I chose this college because this college is very near from my home. Fee structure of this college is also very nice and affordable for my parents to afford. BCA placement of my college is the best in the city and this college was also recommended to me from my elder cousins and friends so that why I chose this college. If I compare my college to PSIT which is best in the city that is also in Kanpur I will say that my college is better in the BCA department as the placement of BCA in my college very good PSIT is great for the students who want to pursue B.TECH. Before applying to this college I applied for BA LLB from DU (Delhi University). But I could not go there because at that time it was needed for me to remain at my home because of some problems as I told previously. Admission process of my college is very clear and easy, you have to just show your 10th and 12th Marks and after that you have to give a simple test after which college management will tell you whether you have secured a seat or not. Most of the students get selected because the entrance test is easy. For admission you have do not have to give any other exam like see you CUET....Read More
