Remarks

The college management was very bad but some faculty were like a mile stone for student they were very kind some faculty taught 'you are the failure student' where some taught us only you can do it anything, see around the world there are many examples.

Entrance Preview

I took chhattisgarh pre-engineering test to get admission i got 2169 rank from general catagory as i was a bright student in school life i have secured 90% marks in state board in higher secondary examination i have deep interest in mechanical engineering i choose shri shankacharya engg college because it is the one of the good colleges in my state and well suited to my rank.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course structure is totally focused on research as there is mainly theory portion which give you a lot of knowledge corresponding to your subject/branch. As we had most faculty with 3-4 year experience in relevant field standard is not so good as compare to government college faculty are also not from a good colleges.

Internships Opportunities

I did my internship in STEEL AUTHORITY OF INDIA LIMITED bhilai unit which is called BHILAI STEEL PLANT we had 40 days internship twice in the whole engineering the experience was very good we managed the opportunity and learn how the plan run and understood the relationship among different units we were introduced billet and bloom mill, ore handling plant and maintenance unit.

Placement Experience

2.5

TCS (TATA CONSULTANCIES SERVICES), WIPRO, Lenko, Tech mahindra and many companies came during my engineering and many of them were placed so campus is quit good companies offer 2.2 lacks to 3.5 lacks maximum CTC, TCS-3.2 LAKHS CTC, TECH. MAHINDRA- 2.5 LACKS CTC, ULTRA-TECH - 3.5 LACKS CTC, WIPRO-2LACKS CTC.

College Events

2.5

Our college festival name is "AAHWAN" in this only college students are allowed so it is not so big but very good different physical activity are involved like Robo War, dance cultural programs, ramp walk, arm wrestling, kala paani and many good programs are there participation is very big almost 70% student come take part in there interested competition.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college management doesn't give any scholarship to poor student but state government helps, SBI gives education loan to complete their study. "SBI STUDENT LOAN SCHEME" helps financially disabled student rajyotsava 2012 had announced a chief minister higher education loan Interest grant scheme for the youths of the state in this the interest rate was 1%.

Campus Life

3

As i am from mechanical branch there was only 1 girl among 129 students we arranged a party by ourselves in "HOTEL AVALON" in 4th year we had a musical band robo war was our best game we had organised in my last year there was an election for college precident i stood for secretory post but unfortunately loss election was very impressive 63% vote were cast.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostels life was great we paid annually 1st year 39000 in 2011-2012, 2nd year 42000 in 2012-2013, 3rd year 45000 in 2013-2014, 4th year 48000 in 2014-2015 there is one room like a hall in which we 4 roommate were living we were allotted an a bed, self and there is a bathroom in each room, room area was nearly of 400 sq. feet.

Alumni/Alumna

In 2011 when i entered in college i gave ragging i was slapped 21 times and day by day it was reduced but at last we missed our seniors although the were very helpful nature they taught us manners and give respect i miss my seniors in our project they helped a lot though they were passed out but they helped us as much they can.

Placement Experience:

To be honest placement scenario is not really good. One becomes eligible for placement in the final year. Companies like cognizant used to visit the college for mass recruitment but after covid even they are not visiting. But few startups visit every year. The highest package this year was 12 lpa ctc. And avg 6 lpa. Only 30 percent get placement. My plan is to do M TECH.

Placement Experience:

Placements at SSIPMT Raipur are pretty good. Students become eligible from 6th semester for campus placements. Companies that visit: TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, Capgemini, etc. They mostly offer roles like software developer, support engineer, tester, etc. Highest Package: ?42 LPA (off-campus international placement) Average Package: Around ?6 LPA Placement Percentage: Almost 100% for CS/IT branches if the student is active and skilled. My Future Plan: After completing my degree, I’ll try to get placed through campus first, then maybe switch later for better opportunities or prepare for higher studies if needed.

The placements are not at all good here, the highest package ever is 7.5LPA and the lowest is 1.25LPA so the average usually comes around 2.5LPA which is not enough with the current inflation rates of our country. And they don't get very big companies to come for the hiring.

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent. It doesn't not matter from which branch you are . If you have skills and have a cgpa of above 7-7.5 most companies allow students from every branch to sit for placements. If you are decent in studies and you managed to brush up your skills in these four years . You will grab a good package despite whatever your branch is.
