Remarks
My journey with HPUBS college was a roller coaster ride with lots of ups and downs, but in the end I was a more professional individual. We learned a lot during the course period. Infrastructure was remarkably good. I am genuinely thankful to the faculty and their valuable advice.
Course Curriculum Overview
Our course curriculum was pretty simple, yet thorough. I was working in the corporate sector before joining the institute and I have to admit, it was a self refectory journey. I learned many things out of my domain, which eventually helped in having a better understanding of organizational behavior. Our course spanned over 2 years, divided into 4 semesters.
Placement Experience
Our institute had a tie-up with various companies including Mahindra Tata, Indian Oil, HDFC, Wipro, Godrej, etc. These, and some other, companies would visit our campus on a regular basis for recruitment purpose and most of the hiring is done for the sales, consultant and HR profiles. The packages offered were also pretty decent.
Fee Structure And Facilities
My course was pretty much feasible, especially in comparison to other private colleges in the region. I belong to a middle-class family, that's why it was very important for me. I paid around 10 k on an annual basis which was pretty cheap and one of the reasons, why I opted for this college.
Fees and Financial Aid
Our college offers numerous scholarships for deserving students. One such scholarship was offered by the Himachal Pradesh University established in the name of the founding chairman of the college. Students have to apply for the scholarship during the time of admission. And each year, 5 students are selected to avail of the scholarship.
Admission
Admissions are offered on the basis of university organized entrance exams HPU MAT, etc. Students have to apply to the college individually. After that, students are invited to the counseling round. The next step was the document verification and the fee submission. The entire admission process was pretty smooth.
Faculty
The faculty was pretty helpful and mature. Most of our batch-mates were experience holders, hence there was a general sense of maturity in the classroom and the batch which made the learning easier. Additionally, my classmates had experience from a variety of backgrounds, which enhanced the learning process.
