Only Dairy and Food Govt. College in Rajasthan

This is one and only govt. college in Rajasthan for this course. Infrastructure facilities are needed to be improved and mass of students are less leading to better studying facilities and chances of great future ahead.

The courses offered concerns with the technology, engineering, Chemistry, microbiology and management subjects relating dairy and food products. The courses are research and industry driven and more practical oriented. This prepares us for the training and internships at different industries.

The placements of my college are 70-80 %. The students gets internships and placements in various companies (MNCs and Cooperatives) like Nestlè, Amul, Perfetti, Danone, GSK, Saras, Vadilal, Havmor, Mars, Britannia, JK Industries, Mother Dairy, Tirupati Wellness Group, Paperboat, etc.

Our college organises different cultural and technical fests like Annual Function, Food-O-Fest, Sports Week, Alumni Meet and various literary events in which different students of university and college takes part. Prizes are awarded to the winning and participating candidates honoured by the Vice Chancellor of the university

Average fees is 30,000-40,000 per year for each student and then depending on the caste criteria of the students. The fees is to be submitted into bank by the means of cash, cheque, DD, online transactions, etc. There is transparency in the fee breakdown as it is govt. College and all the fees changes are hold by the state govt.

College offers scholarship opportunities to all the candidates on the basis of merits. All girls receive an amount of 12,000 per year for all the course of 4 years. Scholarships are also provided to the candidates on the basis of their caste and minorities.

Our college is situated in the beautiful city of Udaipur. Our college has well established labs, sports facilities, and cultural events on regular basis. Gender ratio is almost about 60:40 as we have a total of 60-70 students in each year. Students studying are from different castes, religion and comes from different parts of the state.

I am day scholar but the hostel facilities are great and PG facilities are also available in close proximity to the college with all the basic amenities. Near the hostels, we have Saras and Nestle outlets, canteen, and restaurants to meet the food requirements of the students

We have an alumni network of more than 1000 alumnus working in best companies at best positions all over the world. They are very helpful to the students in their internships and placements.

This course has wide scope in upcoming time as an allied field of Agriculture. This field concerns with the technology of all food and dairy products which you come across in your daily lives. I gave JET examination which is conducted by Rajasthan govt. Agriculture universities only and the merit list is prepared on the basis of marks gained.

The faculties are well experienced, holding doctorate and post doctoral degrees having industrial experience of some years. The schedule of teaching is dependent on credit criteria and each subject holds credits for the week. We have permanent as well as guest faculties holding experience of 2-30 years.
