Remarks

The mandatory discussion sections and FCs are pretty unnecessary and annoying, especially when they add on extra work or pressure, otherwise everything is great. The facilities, faculty and infrastructure. You have everything you need here.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

My program only has research papers no exams and those are doable, they give us enough time to do our work. However sometimes people have complained about having more than one exam in one day especially the science or economics students or one exam after the other since we only have an exam week that last a week.

Placement Experience

5

We have a lot of internships and placement opportunities available here. They even have an entire team to help is out with anything we need, be it structuring our resumes or contacting potential employers. We can also apply for on campus internships, there are a few opportunities available.

College Events

5

We have a wide range of events that occur on campus. We have cultural exchange festivals such as Ubuntu. We also have our school fest called Banjara. We also hold sports fest and have participants from other universities. Overall the fests have a high level of participation from people within and outside Ashoka.

Fee Structure And Facilities

350000 per semester 75,000 for accommodation and 25000 for meals at the cafeteria. You have an acceptance fee of 75000 that has to paid when you decide to enrol. You pay per semester and not annually.

Fees and Financial Aid

They offer a lot of scholarship from full to anything else, be it an accommodation fee waiver, or meal fee waiver or tuition fee waiver and you can always request for a review of your scholarship if you feel you need more, they are quite generous.

Campus Life

5

It's pretty liberal here, you can definitely something you love and people who love you. You are free to be yourself and Express yourself however you choose to. There is a lot of diversity and we have both local and international students.

Hostel Facilities

4

We all have to stay in the hostels on campus. The rooms are shared by 2 people. In it there is fan, an AC, a desk, a bed and a chair. There is also storage underneath the bed and a bookshelf and dresser for clothes with a mirror inside.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students are very helpful and willing to answer questions you have so I do not have any reservations about contacting them, however I haven't hadn't nuch contact with the alumni of the university.

Admission

First you fill the application form. There is no application fee. The form has bio data questions, questions on your education background then also your extracurricular activities. Then there is an on the spot essay with you have to write up in a given period. There is also aptitude test and recommendation from your teachers. There is also an in person interview. I Choose Ashoka University because of my interest in liberal arts and I have no regrets.

Faculty

5

Very qualified professors, both local and international faculty. We really have the best of the best. They have teaching fellows or assistants for every course who can also help if the professor is not readily available.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Specific Aspects That Influenced the Decision For students choosing a professional or certificate course, the curriculum usually becomes the deciding factor based on three key pillars: Job-Oriented Specific Skills: The primary influence is the curriculum's direct focus on market-based, job-ready skills (e.g., Python, Data Science, Digital Marketing tools). Unlike a traditional degree, the appeal is that every module must be immediately applicable to a job. Portfolio Development: Students are heavily influenced by modules that are project-based or require them to build a portfolio (like a website, a code repository, or a marketing plan). The curriculum must be designed to result in tangible work that can be shown to employers. Industry Certification Alignment: If the course prepares students for an external, recognized industry certificate (like CCNA, MCP, or Google/Meta certificates), the curriculum's strict adherence to that certification standard is a major influence. 2. Preparation for Real-World Applications The curriculum of a successful short-term course is designed to excel specifically in preparing students for real-world applications. Curriculum Improvements Mandatory Soft Skills Integration: While technical skills are a focus, the curriculum should mandate dedicated modules on non-technical, yet critical, job skills like: Professional Communication and Email Etiquette Team Collaboration and Project Management (Agile/Scrum basics) Interview Preparation and Mock Interviews Industry Feedback Loop: Establish a more frequent and formal system to update the curriculum based on current industry demands, possibly involving an advisory board of employers or recent alumni.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is highly relevant and comprehensive, according to me. The core courses that are mandatory for a student to take are highly relevant and necessary in order to develop the relevant skills and knowledge in that specific domain of the field. Electives on the other hand, are a student's choices and may or may not be relevant directly to the course one is studying. The university offers a wide range of electives and the electives are also taught by highly qualified professors across the 12 different schools of JGU. The end semester exams are either of 30 marks or 50 marks, depending on the course. Electives usually have a 30-mark end-of-semester exam for 1.5 hours. The exams are pretty easy and theoretical and contextual, unless the course one has chosen is strictly application-based and demands applications of theoretical frameworks. The core exams in the first and second year are divided across 50 and 30 mark exams and are often for 3 hours. The exams are pretty easy and theoretical except for the practicum courses, which are deeply application-based. The final year has very few core courses which are for 30 marks.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was influenced because I wanted to study more about how a person makes decisions, form perception and how a person's mind works . The curriculum prepares us for real world as we study about different aspects of psychology. The curriculum can be improved a little by adding a elective course in which we can get a little experience and arranging trips . The exams are not too difficult or too easy , just in perfect depth of the subject.
