Course Curriculum Overview
Basic design and visual arts, the history of architecture, the case studies done before starting any project, the architectural internship which gives exposure yo tha market. We had total 10 semester divided into 5 years, amongst which we had 1 year of internship period, our college actually falls under BAMU university but currently MGM is been converted into a deemed university. And we don't have any campus placements for architecture.
Placement Experience
Architecture is a field in which we don't have any placements except for colleges like SPA for CEPT.
College Events
There are many events celebrated in our college like Razzmatazz which is celebrated every year as an annual gathering program. Other than that in architecture we have zonal NASA and annual NASA hosted every year buy NASA India. Initiative whole Indian colleges are divided into 6 zones and accordingly the competition is held between the zones and all over India also.
Fee Structure And Facilities
In the field of architecture we had Annual fees of around 80 to 90 thousand. But along with that fees there were many extra charges such as the model making charges the sheet making charges which are not in any other field. Other than that from a second year we need proper laptop for the software such as AutoCAD, sketchup, lumion and rhino, Revit etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
MA admission was done on the merit basis so I didn't even you about the scholarship for the loan facility which the college has been providing.
Campus Life
We had free life but it was strict due to the securities which was a good. Other than that the hostels are also in the campus itself so it was very convenient to go from hostel to college. All the stationary the medicines food extra for all available in the vicinity area.
Hostel Facilities
Yes. We had proper 3 seaters 4 seaters and 2 seaters hostel. In entire campus we had three girls hostel and one boys hostel. The one thing which was assured in these hostels was the security. the food offered was also good quality.
Alumni/Alumna
One of the best thing about MGM is that the care about the alumni. Proper alameda for conducted in several years.
Admission
I got the admission in 2015. Admission was done by Masa. Masa was Organisation in charge for the admissions in architecture only for private colleges. Government colleges in need to apply through DTE. The admissions are done on the basis of the 12th standard marks and NATA exam.
Faculty
Architecture is a field assigned to the council of architecture. The COA has its own rules for the architecture colleges. Like for every 10 students 1 teacher is to be assigned. Here we have a very good faculty. Jnec faculty does not only support in academic but also in extra curriculum activities.
