My College Review

I would say I really loved my college and faculty. Yes, they could add some job opportunities and placements though. That is the only thing I wish for it to be added. Other than that I loved every thing about it.

My course was made of honours in Zoology and with pass courses Chemistry and Botany. So that means I had practicals and Lab work for each and every subject. And Yes, I have to say all of my labs were quite active. We never faced any difficulties in doing any practicals as all. My course in Zoology has a really high focus on research indeed. I have already done many projects and now even thinking of starting another one on diseases. Our exam structure was as such that we had 2 insemester exams for each paper in each semester which were added to our final marks in the end semester. All of our students stay quite active all through the semester.

No we don't necessarily have placements and job opportunities as it only provides till the bachelor s degree. But Yes, we do have internships with other universities such as Dibrugarh University, etc.

We have youth fests that takes place in our college from time to time. Various other colleges take part in it and there are a lot of inter College competitions starting from sports to cultural and even art and crafts. We also have our very own College Week celebrations that have the art and craft, literature, sports, cultural, etc. Then we have freshers and farewell celebration as well.

It is a government college so the fee structure is quite feasible. We are charged around 13 to 14 thousand rupees for two semesters that is a year. Then we do have extra registration fees and all. But they are also quite feasible amounting around 1500 to 1000 per semester.

Yes, do have scholarships that are given by UGC. As my parents income was quite high, I never was eligible for it. But then it does give good amount accounting around 5000 per month to students with a weak background. And then we have few seats that gives free education to poor kids and physically handicapped.

My college is pretty good in extra curricular activities as well. We have dedicated sports fields. The ratio related to gender is also quite equal in both the cases. We have various work shops going on in each department. And Yes, there is no discrimination regarding whether it's gender, caste, religion, etc. We live in perfect harmony.

Yes, we do have a good connection with the seniors and alumni. Even I am a alumni now but I still visit my college time after time. I even get invitations to certain functions and fests. My teachers also are very good to me and I can still take suggestions from them. They love me just the same as when I was a student there.

I was always a biology student and I always wanted to study a subject related to it. This has lead me to take my honours in Zoology ( Life Sciences). I m currently studying in a university as a post graduate and it is all thanks to this college to guide me so well so I can grab my seat in the university. I was admitted to my college on merit basis based on the 12th marks score. It was an open admission and the seats were gives serially on our marks.

Our faculty is indeed a really good one. Whether it's the teachers or other staff members, everyone is really approachable and helping. My teachers always helped me with my academics and was always there for me whenever I needed help from them. They even guided me to my future career as well. Even the lab assistants were really good and appreciable.
