Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum was very distinct and thorough. Our course spanned over 2 years, and was divided into trimester system. We learned a number of subjects and theories like business economics, impact of IT on consumer behaviour, financial extraction, etc. We learned a lot from the course. Exams were organised at the end of each semester.
Placement Experience
Our placement cell is pretty dedicated towards maintaining close tie ups with companies and invites them for the recruitment purpose. Some of these companies include names like Kotak, Ramco Cements, HDFC life, Siemens, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, pwc, kpmg. Though, average package is around 3-4 LPA, which is an area where they can still improve by bringing more companies on-board to improve the placement record.
Fee Structure And Facilities
My course fee was somewhere around 7 lacs which was pretty feasible for a management college. Fee can be paid on an annual basis, though our college is pretty flexible in terms of fee payment and fees can even be paid in online mode.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel rooms are pretty spacious and well furnished. Students from outstation are given priority during hostel allotment. I made lot of fun memories in the hostel, especially late night study groups and pranks pulled on the batch-mates. Hostel helped us bond with our seniors as well.
Admission
Admission process is pretty lengthy here. First you have to give a management level entrance exam. I gave the CMAT exam and scored good. Then I applied at the college with all of my academic details and CMAT score. Shortlisted students are invited for next rounds, which mainly include GD/PI and even a psychometric test. Based on all these attributes students are evaluated and granted admission.
Faculty
We didn't had faculty, we had mentors. Apart from being adequately qualified for the job, they were genuinely concerned about the future of a student. They would guide us about how to work on our shortcomings and their dedication towards explaining a particular topic, literally stole my heart.
