Remarks

I don't have any negative remarks. The college is a great place. It has a good canteen. It has a great lawn and the infrastructure of the college is good. It has a very resourceful library. But the college is in the outskirts of the city, but it is worth it since it is one of the top colleges in Mysore. It is the top 4th.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course I'm doing is Engineering in Computer Science. The curriculum and the syllabus are given by VTU (Visveswaraya Technological University) as my college is affiliated to VTU. The syllabus and scheme is regularly updated. Exam structure is also decided by VTU. We have a 60-40 scheme i. e., 60 marks for extermals and 40 marks for internals which includes project attendance and other activities based on the subject. Overall the syllabus is good and we get enough day gap between exams so it's not really tiring.

Placement Experience

4.5

This year every student who had good GPA got offer letters from one or more companies. Few regularly visiting companies are Infosys, SLK software solutions, HashedIn, HCL, Mphasis, Pathfront, PEOL solutions, etc. I'm still in 6th semester and the internship and placements are not till 7th sem, so I have no experience there. But the seniors are satisfied with the job opportunities provided.

College Events

5

There are a large amount of events that take place in the college. Such as google team visits are organized by the department. Also a lot of workshops from google are organized by the department. The college is tied up with google for the google cloud foundation course. A lot of technical seminars and workshops organized by the college on topics such as Artificial Intelligence in automated cars, IT industry overview, FDP on Bloom's taxonomy. A 2-day intercollege event "CODESENSE" is organized which has events like tech quiz, tech debate and code xamp. Along with all these, cultural week or fun week is held every year. Ethnic day is also organized. College fest GRAVVIETY is organized every year in the even semester.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I'm paying 76, 000 rupees for every academic year, which is feasible since other college students in the city have to pay above 80, 000 rupees for every year. For students with SNQ quota the fees is reduced to 26, 000 rupees as their CET rank is less.

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't know about the availability of loan in the college but we can get scholorships like vidyasiri. VidyasirI is a scholorship for students of engineering which gives a refund from the annual fees of the course. It gives a refund of 20000, 21000 or 22000 depending on the category which the student belongs to.

Campus Life

4.5

Sports events are organized by the college every year. Students are also encouraged to participate in events from other colleges. The labs are great. All the computers have a high speed internet connection. There are students from all religions, ethnicities and economic statuses. Also, there are students from other countries. But nobody feels discriminated against or left out.

Alumni/Alumna

The senior students are very helpful when it comes to academics. An event was organized where the alumnI students and the seniors who had been placed in good companies addressed our batch students. They shared a lot of useful information and tips for interviews. This gave us a lot of confidence about the upcoming placements.

Admission

After my 2nd PU (Pre-University) exam, I wrote an entrance exam CET (common entrance test). According to the rank in the same, I was allotted a college from CET. I could choose what colleges I want in Karnataka during option entry and they would select a college among the list according to my CET rank.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty in my department are highly qualified for the job. Every professor has a master's degree. Some of them even have their PhD. They all have high knowledge of the subject. They're very encouraging and help a lot during projects.

Placement Experience:

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
