My college life was very memorable for me. The college faculty and intellectual level was remarkable but I was disappointed with the facilities college provides to its students. Being this a central government funded the facilities are not upto the mark b

IIT JEE , AIR 3085, I chose this course mainly because of college. Although i was getting other IIT's too but courses were less favaroble like mineral, metallurgy and other non common courses.

I studied chemical engineering. The courses were heat transfers, fluid motion and dynamics, Thermodynamics, advance physics, chemistry, mathematics, chemical kinetics etc. Curriculum was very informative provided you have interest.

There were lot of companies which offered summer internship. To take some names HUL, RELIANCE, IOCL, ULTRATECH CEMENT etc. I went with Ultra Tech Cement. Its of Aditya birla groups company. Plant located in south gujrats coastal area. I learnt about CEMENT manufacturing process over there in 6 weeks.

We have more than 100% job placed in our batch. Placements is never a worry in IIT BHU and its getting better every years in term of no of companies and pay package. I can't tell u exact figures they offered us as I really can't remember but just to give you idea. Few companies offered 10+ lpa like HUL, some offered 5-10 lpa like IOCL, BPCL, BORL, RELIANCE, DELLOITE, etc. Few offered 3-5 lpa like mostly IT companies mainly TCS, COGNIZANT, INFOSYS, WIPRO etc.

Participation is huge in events, all Indian colleges take part including IITs and NITs. Many celebrities, knowledgeable personalities attend these events on regular basis. The events are as follows Cultural event- kashi yatraTechnical event- TechnexSports event- Spardha

I have studied in central government funded university which is quite cheap in terms of fees. It's like 6-7 k every trimester. Apart from that it's your personal expenses including mess charges for every month.

Scholarship is provided for economically weak students according to there family income status. And I have not availed any scholarship as I was not eligible for the same.

Campus life is very memorable. As I said there are no. of events happened in a year apart from main events in which you can take part in activities, have fun in parties after events and also be in management of these events. Gender ratio is quite bad as you don't see lot of girls in IITs. It's like at Max 2-3 female in a batch of 40-50 students. In terms of tolerance towards gender, religion,economic status, politics, sexual orientation or any kind of race, I have not seen any thing wrong ever in my college period.

As I told its a central government funded so you can expect how it could be in terms of facilities. Obviously rooms and mess are not upto the mark. They definitely should be upgraded as its IITs.There is no requirement of PG as it is mandatory to stay in

I did not have any discussion with any alumni. I used to talk to my seniors which were quite helpful in every bit of manner like study, placements, extracurricular activities, other general queries.

No it's not at all hectic. Exams happen 3 times every semester including 2 mid tests and 1 main examination. Lab test happen only once in last exam in every semester.

Faculty was mixture of both new lecturer, readers and very experienced proffesors. They are very knowledgeable and cooperatives but one has to make sincere efforts in order to take advantage of this prestigious faculty.
