Remarks

Most points are positive being a government college but there are negative points also. Remarks differs individually. As per me this is a good college for students to persue higher studies. Being rated with most rated colleges of odisha.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course is based on cbcs pattern.Exams are chilling and labs are hectic.Exam structure is having questions of 1,2 and 3 marks within one word, 2 line or in 75 words and long questions each of 7 marks from each unit within 500 words.

Placement Experience

3.5

Yes there are placement and job opportunities provided by our college and yes they do provide internships. But I have not experienced this yet.Still considered to be average not good or best. But i am not experienced in this.

College Events

3.5

College Annual day meet is organized in a bery Grand way including various cultural programs and entertainment.Various career counseling sessions are held regularly intervals by different forces for management trainee for technical training.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Very feasible.Only during semester exams and in admission fees are required. For hostel and pg rents and extra transportation expenses to be seen individually. No transportation from college side.Being a government college no extra charge.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes there are good scholarship and loan facility offered by government.Like e-medhabruti scholarship for all categories and prerena scholarship for st and sc caste students and regular notice are posted in college notice board.

Campus Life

3.5

Extracurricular activities are organized at regular intervals as and when required but not so great.Sports facility is good.Annual sports day is organized in grand way.And politics interference is not so very due to good management.

Hostel Facilities

4

No haven't opted for hostel. But have heard that infrastructure is well maintained and rules are to be strictly followed and separate hostel for boys and girls are there.Food facility is good.Sanitation is good.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students are very helpful. Moreover it depends individually.About Alumni network i have no idea as not experienced in that sector. But seniors are cooperative and helping in nature.Interaction with other management like examination cell was impressive.

Admission

To get admission in this college a form must be filled in due time and then college will inform about your selection.Selection is done on merit basis of 12th marks and cutoff in each stream.Online admission fees payment and submitting a copy of online form with documents.Admission is complete.

Faculty

4

Faculty and staff ate very cooperative towards students. They would help a student in every possible way.It depends individually on each faculty and staff. But all over they are good and helping and very understanding, especially commerce department.

Sambalpur University, Bachelor of Commerce [B.Com] {Hons.}

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum of B.Com under Sambalpur University covers important subjects like Accounting, Business Law, Economics, Management and Taxation which are essential for future studies and careers in finance or commerce. The structure is simple to follow and helps students build a good base in theory. Semester exams are conducted on time and the difficulty level is moderate. A student who consistently studies can score well without extreme pressure. However, there is a lack of practical exposure such as industry visits, internships or real-world business case studies. Also, subjects related to modern digital business trends like data analytics, advanced Excel, and GST practicals should be included to make students more job-ready. Overall, the curriculum is relevant but needs more updates to match the current professional requirements

Course Curriculum Overview:

This B.Com curriculum helps every basic individual how to manage money and also provides a path towards finance literacy. The subjects that B.Com has are so designed that the students get most benefit out of it and have experience how the things work in real world. Exams are conducted on timely basis and the exam papers are not too easy but medium and sometimes difficult. There is no default by any staff during exams .
