Cheap for a Decent MBA Degree

If one is concerned only with the academic and theory part of the MBA with a cheap fees and a salary of about 5LPA one should definitely go for BIT Lalpur Ranchi but if u are concerned with the personality development part and want different exposure the college won't please you on that part. I am a singer but i didn't get much opportunity from my college to showcase my talent. I only sang few college hymn in the convocation ceremony. Teachers are good but practical knowledge are not emparted.

In each semester for a single subjects 3 quizzes are taken of 15 marks each and best of two is counted and 10 marks are for assignments and class presentation and at the last of semester 60 marks exam are taken by the college which is 15+15+10+60 = 100. Since the dates are announced for the quizzes a week before it's not that hectic and also the college hours are very chilled.

Regarding the internships the company visits for the internship programme such as ITC, Bajaj, ICICI, Outlook magazine, HDFC etc. All the students are not provided with the internship from the college and some of them has to find a company of thier own. I did my internship from SAIL which i applied by myself. Regarding the stipend some companies like ITC BAJAJ provide stipend of almost 15000Rs. Regarding the placement the percentage of placement is very good almost 80% of the students get placed in companies like Prism Johnson, Cavin kare, ICICI, TATA AIG, Jana Bank, Bandhan Bank, ITC, Hyundai, Mahindra Finance, Ballen di luis, Chola mandalam, Bajal Electricals, HDFC etc. but one has to be good with the presentation of his personality. One of my batchmate got placed in a company in Oman The average package is about 4 to 5 lakh per annum and highest in my batch was of mine which is 6LPA.

Since it's an extension center there is no events held in our college. yes sounds harsh but that's the truth. Although one can register himself in NSS and can do some good works for the society Each year Bitotsav is held at Main Campus and the students of here can participate in that fest.

Since it's a 4 semester programme I paid 120000 in first semester and 100000 in second and 112500 in other two semesters which includes security Money of 10000 which is returned afterwards. So the total fees is around 4. 5 lakhs. Since the MBA course is very expensive and costs on an average 9-10 lakhs. I think the college is quite feasible.

No there is no Scholarship provided for MBA programme but the banks provide loans for the study at reasonable interest rate. Some of my friends opted for loan facility and they got loans quite easily.

Lalpur extension centre has 2 computer lab which is fully air conditioned and has latest systems with latest software installed in them. There is no scope for any extra curricular activities since the college don't have an auditorium. No playground No Canteen but the college is located in the prime place in Ranchi so one can get to eat easily outside the college.

I haven't opted for hostel since only the main campus provide hostel facility. BIT Lalpur do not provide Hostel. I have a rough idea that the main campus provide single room facilities for mba students and it costs 4000 to 5000 per month including food.

Inside the college or one senior batch are the one you can only reach out to. The Alumni network is very weak and since it's weak we can't expect any help from them. Since I focused on getting the academic side right and on the placement and got placed first from our college i didn't actually felt the need of alumni network only few of my seniors helped me deciding the companies to opt for.

First of all for a MBA Admission one has to give anyone of the following 3 exams which is CAT XAT or CMAT and have to score atleast 40 percentile in any of them to apply after the application a date is announced and on that day a formal Group Discussion and interview is taken and only after that merit list is created for admission.

Most of the Faculties are well qualified with a Doctorate in thier respective fields with quite a good corporate exposure so the quality of teachers are up to the mark although u can't expect that all the teachers are good enough but majority of them are very good.
