Overall a very good experience and even more good for a journalism student.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course is as per directed by Ipu. three years are didvided into six semesters. Course follow contemporary India, Graphics design, broadcast media, radio skills, video editing, etc. Overall a healthy course package and very vital for upcoming journalists to learn.

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 70000 per year

Placement Experience

The college is partnered with esteemed organizations like India Today, STV Haryana, India Tv, Times Network, etc. for BAJMC course.

College Events

There are mainly two events of college named Zeal and Zest . Both are college fest and celebrated at grand level. Also other events like republic day, independence day, diwali, etc. are celebrated inside college premisies. Overall a good experience.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is quite simple. forty thousand is charged by IP university and thirty thousand by the college. It is fairly reasonable as per the qualities offered. Colege also gives option to pay fess semester wise and provides scholarship (by ip) for financialy weak students.

Fees and Financial Aid

I didnt avail any scholarship but IP university also offer scholarships. There are eligibility criteria which we needs to fulfil.

Campus Life

The labs are well maintained. There are several activities related to journalistic apptitude, sports, mamangement, etc. are being conducted by the college. Guest lectures are the main attraction as its been given by some prominent journalist across globe.

Alumni/Alumna

The college has a very strong alumni network and even one of the alumni even got prestigious Ramnath Journalism Goenka Award.

Admission

Actually, I was a civil engineer student and doing the same from gurugram private college. But that didnt go well for me so I decided to move on and journalism is my second love. Admission is quite simple there. You have to give IPU CET exam and than have to select college under Ipu as per rank,

Faculty

The facilities offered by college is quite good. The canteen, vending machine, bus facilities, pg (on special request), the green campus, cleanliness, etc. are the facilities offered by college. The faculties are very helpful atleast for BAJMC. Overall its good

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible from 4th year to sit in placements. Famous companies like NDTV, News 24 , India today, ABVP,etc comes for placement. Highest package was 1200000 per annum and 300000 per annum is average package. Profiles offered are reporter,research executives, content creator, anchor, field reporter,etc I will go for anchoring after completing the degree.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of our college is functional and active. The chances depend on the course that you have opted for. The placements are really good for commerce, economics, Maths, Stats but for the other department's students it might be a bit challenging to find a company of their domain. The students become eligible to sit in placement from 5th semester. The companies that visit my college are Godrej, BCG, McKinsey, Nation with Namo, Blackstone, Accenture, KPMG, EY, citibank, microsoft and Amazon etc.

Placement of our college is pretty good almost 80% students get good placement but at the same time its very important to know that you will get college placement at end of you masters as DSJ provides Five year integrated programme in journalism.
