Remarks

College provides experiences and training to an extent which is very equivalent to on the job experience during industrial training. Management is very responsible and ensure all students are well disciplined and groomed in behaviour.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

An updated curriculum from Osmania University helps to keep the course very relevant. The course structure gives equal weightage to both practicals and theory classes with a major focus on culinary skill development. A large emphasis is given on knowledge, skill, science and the art aspects of food. The course structure is divided into 6 semesters, with examinations in both theory and practicals.

Placement Experience

5

All the major hotel chains visit the campus for placements at various levels varying from management trainees to entry-level positions. Few examples would include The Oberoi, ITC, IHCL etc. We also have cruise lines recruiting students every year with attractive packages.

College Events

5

The college is an ever eventful place. The activities students involve include GALA-BUFFET which is the venue for the WORLD RECORD ATTEMPTS giving wide and varied exposure, sports day, multiple national competitions, profile photography to create an online presence for the students showcasing their talents. Even our exams are eventful with the colourful theme setups that match the food we serve.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very convenient and feasible. The facilities and faculty being world-class and with a no-compromise attitude towards ingredients whether local or imported to enable cooking authentic cuisines of the world, equipment on par with any 5-star hotel, CULINARY ACADEMY OF INDIA charges nominal fees for the courses it offers.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

No, I have not opted for any scholarship or education loans. Education loans would still be available to students in need.

Campus Life

5

The gender ratio of college is largely leaning towards male populace but the trend over the last few years shows a rapid rise in the female population. The year begins with a freshers party, moves towards Gala Buffet, into sports day and concludes with a farewell. Students from all over the country, from different economic, ethnic background take admission in the college.

Alumni/Alumna

Culinary Academy of India has a wide and well established Alumni network that are spread all over the world and are ready to help any student in need. I myself have been referred to the college by an Alumni.

Admission

The admission process begins with an application and a nominal fee for the same. Once filled the entrance examination would include a written test consisting of General Knowledge, Logic, Aptitude, Reasoning, English etc. It is followed by a Group Discussion and a Personal Interview.

Faculty

5

The college has a wide and varied distribution of faculty with a large amount of industrial experience. The Chef Instructors are all thoroughly knowledgeable and skilful and make huge efforts in instructing the students thoroughly. They are keen to learn the modern innovations of the industry and teach the same to the students.

When it comes to the important year of placement, students from the very beginning of 3rd year become eligible. A lot of companies will start coming from the 1st month itself. At my times we got the opportunity for appearing in the companies like Oberoi, Green park, the park, Faasos in the 1st month itself and almost each and every student get placed at the end of the final year.
