There is three years course in graduation degree. In which two years you should take a compulsory subject and one alternative subject and last year you should take a compulsory subject as Evs. There are six-semester courses in each semester one mid-semester and one end semester exam.

College Events

Saraswati Puja is the main event of all students. But freshers is specifically organized by separately in each department. Toppers are represented by rewards. All freshers are presented by flower and gift and all extra activities are done in this event.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Amount is very less and stipends given by the government to below cast. There are some categories which the government provides a stipend.

Admission

I just pass 12th with 1st division and I fill the form for this college and my name announced in merit list. Normal bachelor degrees admissions need marks but vocational degrees need to clear a test which taken by individual departments. Don't worry to take admissions in this college.

All the teachers are good in knowledge. Basically some teacher's are not worth but average. Many extra activities done by the department. 75 percentage attendance is required to fill exam form in each semesters l so be careful. All departments are combined in subsidiaries paper.

Actually biotechnology is an interdisciplinary program where we have to learn mostly the practical skills but there is no such equipment for doing a decent type of research work as they are not in a working condition. So first it has to be corrected and new equipment should have to buy for a making a good laboratory.

Placement of my college is average. Campus placement is offered. From 5th semester students become eligible for campus placement. WIPRO along with some few other private labelled company visited and no of offers made. Highest package is 6.3 lakhs and average package is around 3 to 4 lakhs per company. Around 50% of students got placed in campus placement offers. I want to do research in Environmental toxicology after getting the degree.

St. Columbas college Is the best in my city

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am chosen this course because mathematics is my strongest subject from all of the others that's why I can choose mathematics. Faculty member of our college is very supportive but some of the teachers are very rude behaviour. Our college teachers are very disciplined about teaching and any project work. My class have 250 students. Every semester our college takes mid sem exam then a viva exam, assignment on every paper, group discussion, surprise test. The exam pattern was based on their classes. The exam pattern is moderate most times.

Positive: Good staff, your work will be finished in a day or in two days. Negative: There are group of aggressive students active in campus but don't worry they don't problem for you until you mesh with them. Also there in lack of proper classes and study in regular order.
