Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

We have flexible curriculum. It has both pros and cons. I find it good. But grading is relative. So you're final grades not only depends on your marks but also that of your whole class. Per semester it's usually 3 +1 exams and assignments. 2 cts and 1 end semester exam. 1 buffer exam in case you missed the cts due to unforeseen circumstances. Division is usually 20+20+10+50(ct1+ct2 +assignment+end semester exam).BUT As we follow flexible curriculum, it depends on the faculty.

Placement Experience

4

Placement is good. We have campus placement at more than 90%. Both core and it companies come. But most people go for it since it's high paying than core jobs. Some of these companies also come for offering summer internship and many people do get ppos.

College Events

5

Aaveg- fest for first ug years nittfest- inter departmental college cultural fest. Sportsfete- inter departmental college sports competition. Festember- annual college cultural fest. Pragyan'- annual college tecno managerial fest. Pongal, christmas, ramzan- is conducted by respective groups but is open for anyone to attend them. Then there is the symposium of all the departments. It happens in the weekends.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very feasible. We can avail different scholarships. The fees is very low in comparison to other institute as ours is government run institute. The dasa students have a higher fee than the josaa students.

Campus Life

4.5

Good ground with mud track for athletics. In total we have 4 grounds-nso, ceesat, jade, amber. Also almost all hostels have a volley ball or basketball court attached. There are badminton courts inside all btech hostels. We have a siemens center for excellence within campus, which can be used by our college students and staff for free. Also a isro incubation center has been recently started. We have a indoor stadium, 2 tennis courts with lights ,2 basketball courts with lights, 2 kho kho courts with lights, 1 handball court, 1 hockey court,3 volleyball courts with lights, swimming pool, 1 indoor gym and 2 outdoor self weight gyms.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostels are good and spacious. Its 3 per room in the first year and 2 per room from second year. For girls also it's the same but separate rooms in the final year for them. For phd scholars its separate room from the beginning. Each hostel usually has a volleyball court and badminton court. Also a night shop will be there within the compund or in the nearby hostel. For boys there's no curfew except for first year ug. For girls curfew is 9 on weekdays and 9:30 on weekends.

Alumni/Alumna

We have alumini worldwide. Lot's of them are ceos , general, etc in the armed forces, etc just to name a few. Recently the global alumini meet (gam 2020) was conducted in chennai. They have planned to fund for synthetic athletics tracks in campus, fund phd scholars in their projects. Also the scient center was started by them where the tools can be used free of cost.

Admission

We have to prepare for jee mains exam. The syllabus for jee mains exam is based on cbse curriculum. Registration for the exam must be done online. You'll get confirmation email with exam date and venue. Exam can be written both online and offline. After the results are announced, you'll have to register yourself for the counseling. You can check which college and course you might get based on your marks, state in which you finished 11th and 12th , any special reservation, etc.

Faculty

4

Faculty is good. But it depends. Some faculties are very very very good and dedicated. But also there are a few bad faculties. Most of the faculty are friendly and understanding. They're like our second parents.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is well designed and covered both fundamental and advanced concepts. We choose elective papers each sem one paper from third sem. That selection of elective papers made us to do case study of real world exposure and competency. The curriculum prepared us for the reasonable real world applications. Also workshops and internships bridged the gap between industry expectations and academics. The teaching methods are really supportive and knowledgeable. On the whole the curriculum was strong and but needs to be imapctful.
