Remarks
My journey with the SIMS college was a roller coaster ride. I learned a lot and at the same time had a lot of fun. Our college was pretty supportive of us and guided us for the job prospects and other issues. Infrastructure was reluctantly great and the faculty was pretty thorough in their approach.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum was pretty thorough and covered topics from a variety of topics. We learned a lot from the curriculum including the funds management, consumer behaviour, legal aspects of running a business, marketing tricks, and many other fun things.
Placement Experience
Placements are okayish in our college, but our placement cell organises numerous training and skill development sessions for students. Mock interview sessions were also pretty helpful. Average monthly salary offered to the students was somewhere around 20-30k which was not that bad. Students with good communication skills got placed easily, while some had to look for the job on their own.
College Events
Our college was a hub for many management events and cultural fests. MANEGMA was one such festival organised for the management students. Our college also organised student exchange programs in order to provide international exposure to the students.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure was very nominal in respect to other management programs. I paid 35,000 per semester which was pretty nominal for a management program. Students are provided a decent infrastructure and a state of the art facilities, to make students feel comfortable.
Admission
Admissions are done on the basis of merit in entrance exam. I was preparing for the MAT exam and applied at some of the decent colleges near my hometown. My application got shortlisted for the counseling round and there on it was pretty smooth process.
Faculty
Faculty was pretty friendly and supportive throughout the curriculum. They were more like our mentor, who not only taught us about the curricular but guided us regarding our career choices. They pushed us for giving presentations in front of class, which was scary in the beginning but eventually end up boosting my confidence.
