Remarks

Academic was good till last year. All good Faculty were moved recently. College specifically interested in IT sectors. Those who love Computer Science, it may be a good help to be in the college but for others it might tough.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Semesters and class test are like half yearly tests. Every 2nd month they hold a monthly test where they examine all the covered chapters and then make the conclusion where to begin next. All the covered chapters were there in the exam and all important aspect questions were reveal in exam for better preparation.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placement are for Software company that is only the IT company. Most of all companies were belongs to IT sectors. Those who are from core branch like Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Civil, basically they have no option rather to attend. Not like NIST did not bring the core company but that time the placement number is less like students attend interview 300 and the recruiter recruits 3-4 students.

College Events

3

NIST celebrate all Fest equally, not like only one to be a priority list. All are given the equal value. A few remembered festival are : Holi, Saraswati Puja, Ganesh Puja, Eid, Diwali, Dusshera, Pongal etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

For me those are way expensive. Because they are taking fee in 4 ways, Academic, Books, Hostel, Transport. Those who live in hostel they don't need the transportation that much. It's same as the regular students and next about food.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have a little knowledge about this stuff but I know this much that NIST provide the scholarship about some Merit options and according to the Merit list they provide the scholarship. Sometime it may be about providing books or sometime they give honour to the Merit on occasions.

Campus Life

4

NIST has a good facility in Sports and especially in Volleyball. It's not only just volleyball, there is also scope for Cricket, Tennis, Badminton, Basketball etc. Facilities are there for playing games.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, they are quite helpful and they always present in need by mean of help. NIST has created it's own alumni site where they update about the upcoming Job details and giving them the proper direction.

Admission

Through Merit list all the students are getting in. A very few will be there may got through donations and that's rare case. You are selected from the chosen option of stream. But a student can change its stream but has one condition and that was he/she has to obtain 8.5 cgpa in very 1st year and that's how a student change his/ her stream.

Faculty

4

The faculty are the stars of NIST. It's all about the faculty what NIST has become today. When I was in college the best faculty I have come across were From Electronics Communication (ECE) branch. The tactics they follow was one can easily compare to one of ITS Or NITs level.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The institution itself claims that the B.Tech programme is designed to “develop the technical skills of aspirants” and emphasises modern tools and technologies. Some students say particular specialisations (e.g., CSE with AI/ML) are particularly “industry-ready”. The curriculum covers foundational engineering courses (physics, mathematics, basic engineering) in the early years and then branch-specific specialisations later. That breadth is good. Some student reviews point out that while the curriculum is generally relevant, it may lag in keeping up with the latest technology trends. For example:

students become eligible for the placement from 6th sem onwards but most students sit in 7th sem and more than 40% of students secure placement in their 8th, college doesn't claim 100% placement percentage but more than 70% get placed and the highest package is 32LPA from CSE brunch and he placed in cyber security based company, avg package to be 7-8LPA and medium 5-6LPA and lowest 2.75LPA which is offered but no student accepted it . around 300 companies made offers and the majority of them are services and consulting companies only a few product-based and cyber security companies made offers which all are above 13LPA, try to get placed asap , if u want to clear the gate and do MTECH in IITs but I don't think so job market is ready for it. only if you are in electronics then doing MTech or PhD will help
