CHANDIGARH UNIVERSITY REVIEW

Overall I will say the college is good in front of my eyes as it has provided me many opportunities and some have grabbed some I wasn't able to. In some areas I want my college to improve in extracurricular activities especially sports department as some times people don't get opportunities they are supposed to get and that's my only demerit of the university.

Course curriculum in our university is somewhat different then other universities and colleges as they move through different mentality of how to teach the students, for eg. Only one programing language in my course is given per semester to not have burden on students and it's one of the best things ever as I know many colleges and universities.

There are numerous placement and job opportunities available in our university. College provides internship. I have done internship in only one company through our university which was very well done and organised by our university and I am thankful that I did it through the university and I received a decent stipend.

Many events are celebrated in our college like, lodhi puja, holi dehan, diwali, and other events like fresher party and college fest which is the biggest and most awaited event of the year is also organised and done perfectly also our university hosts tashan nights and many celebrities come time to time in our university in these events. Bollywood celebrities like sanjay dutt, John Abraham, akshay kumar, and more have came to our university.

The fee structure of the university is feasible and understandable as they are providing well education and decent computer labs and different labs like java labs, Microsoft labs and more and quality of education is also nice.

The college offers scholarship exam in between may and June which is known as CUCET EXAM certain criteria is set to qualify that exam if a candidate is successful in reaching that criteria and breaking that marks the student gets scholarship for first semester or first time payment and then if the student want to maintain the scholarship he/she have to score more than 7.5 cgpa per semester to maintain the scholarship. And also loan facilities are also provided in our college. NO, I have not availed for any scholarship or loan facility, I gave CUCET exam But I didn't qualify.

Extracurricular activities are moderate in our college sometimes people don't get full exposure of what is available in college for extracurricular activities, whereas their are available different different activities like sports, NCC, semester exchange programs, english speaking, dancing, singing and more activities are available but they are moderate good only.

Helpful of a student depends on character to character I live in hostel facility of my college and my roommates are my seniors and they are very helpful to me as they have told me many things about placements and performing in front of a large crowd and more. Also in the gym if a random senior is interacted he also helps if someone is not doing the exercise in a right way. Students are helpful but also it depends person to person.

I came to know about my university through a friend. And I looked it up and I saw all the information about the university and it's heritage and a senior of mine also recommended me to get admission in the university I gave exam of CUCET Which is conducted by my university for scholarship after admission. The admission process is simple you need to have more than 6.4 cgpa in class 12 and class 10th to qualify for admission in the university.

The faculty of the college is well educated maximum number of professors teaching us are phd holders and others who doesn't have any phd also have well experience in what they are doing.
