Course Curriculum Overview

0.5

Course is vast as it is MBBS. It spans for 5.5 years. Four point five year of studying and one year of internship from the same institution. It gets most hectic in fourth year also called as the final year.

Placement Experience

0.5

At the end of 4.5 years internship period begins where you get paid around 7500. Junior residency is the job after the internship gets over and you get 60k to 70000. Quite a hike indeed. But after all this it's a handsome salary.

College Events

1

Annual Fest known as zeal, happens around in the month of October-november. In this every batch participates and faculties too. Diwali - it happens prior to one week of Diwali. Freshers- it is the most awaited event as it is important for junior most batch.

Fee Structure And Facilities

In a government institution, the fees are not so high. They are feasible so that not well-off people can also take advantage of it. 50000 a year is not that for a course like MBBS. Hostel fees are not included.

Campus Life

0.5

They are not at all good. There is very minimal funding for that part. Laboratories get closed pretty early so you can't get involved with the research purposes as well. So whatever Will you have to play dies.

Alumni/Alumna

Very less help is received because as a doctor your life becomes quite challenging and busy and you can't look after your junior. So it is understood that you can't get help from them and that is all okay.

Admission

The exam name is national examination and entrance test which was started on 2016. It's comprised of 720 marks and 180 questions 45 each for physics and chemistry and 90 of biology. My score was 501.

Faculty

0.5

Teachers are average. But there is actually problem of lack of teachers in this college. Like some departments not even have MBBS doctors. They are run by PhDs and MScs. There is real shortage of lack of communication.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course from this college due to its hospital. It is one of the best hospitals in uttrakhand. MBBS itself carry an important meaning in once life if they have decided to be a doctor. MBBS teachings here is only done to keep you ready for the real worlds. Case discussions are a regular thing here. Total there are 19 subjects that need to be studied within 4.5 years. Few subjects like PSM, AETCOM module should be scrapped completely. They only waste your time as maximum contents they cover are covered in other subjects and few left could be covered separately. It goes on for 3 years with unnecessary postings and practical where you discuss house dimensions, nutrition, etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

-Specific aspects is the pattern of exams, that was MCQs pattern and now it has been changed to 50% MCQs and 50% theory. -Curriculum is prepared in the view of clinical knowledge, there are seminars and other group discussion is also added in curriculum apart from classes - The teaching methods should be changed from PPT to ppt + black board, because it's very boring to stare on ppt for an hour - we have to pass 4 exams in one year Mid terminal exam in the end of 3rd month of academic year End terminal exam in the end of 6th month of academic year And two professional exams at the end of the academic year Exams are not difficult, the difficulty level is moderate

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our college curriculum is relevant to our course in this field we save lives of many patients which influenced me the most that's why I always wanted to become a doctor. After the inter introduction of clinical posting we get early exposure to the patients which prepare us for real word application of our knowledge. Time to time exams are conducted here to test are abilities and areas and subjects so that we can improve in that particular field.

After passing the MBBS every student is eligible for the campus placement. There are no companies that visit the college for placement because the students are placed under the government. All students are provided the pay decided by the government. 100% of students qualifying MBBS are getting placements. After getting the degree I have a plan on appearing in the NEET PG exam and after qualification, I will be doing features in any of the qualified branches.
