Remarks

Pretty good at working hard, but authorities belive more in paper work than actual useful work. Being far from town, they should have thougt of stronger connections. They need to think more about students. Not play card of game with them.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is pretty good. They cover a lot of programming languages and quite different topics. Have been in CS field for over 7 years, and can say, they made good choices in subjects. But, individual content need improvement. They already have Program Outcome & Course Outcome based topics but they are not tested. It will take them several years / more experienced faculties to get to a pretty good level. In case of exams, they have good standard papers, topics are covered based on COs and POs which I found to be a pretty good method. One thing not suitable is the pressure they put on faculties to quickly check the papers. They are still trying out new method. Might get better with time.

Placement Experience

3.5

The college provides a near 100% placement. Though most are either mass recruiter or startups looking for cheap talent. For bright students, going for off campus placement is must. No they do not have any research internship or something such.

College Events

4.5

Being at management position of the Student Council, I think I can describe it pretty well. The college has a Student Council (nominated), under which comes 32 clubs. Each club having its own different domain, these include Dance Club, Management Club, Literary Club, Technical Club, Sponsorship Club and many more. 4-6 of these club hold their own fest every year. Apart from these the technical club has a workshop every week. We also have 2 Hackathons every semester now. (35 college's participated in the last one). Then the biggest is Galgotias Unifest. A pretty much dream fest. Built the website for them last year and was in the on-ground Managment team. Could provide more details if required.

Fee Structure And Facilities

1,50,000 for BTech Courses and 1,80,000 for specialization (like ML, Game Dev). Neither feasible nor expensive for me. Midway. They do start demanding fees pretty early. They won't let you give examination if you haven't submitted next year's fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

There's one of UP Government that I am aware of. Though its available for only those who's parent's income is less than a certain amount. They probably dont offer any other scholarship. They don't have a general loan facility but they might allow late fees in some cases.

Campus Life

3

Labs - ok Sports - umm, not that ok. Good Team, not good timing for practice. The teams have won several prizes but still long way to go. Other extracurricular activities that involve College clubs are prettty cool.

Hostel Facilities

2

I was in Hostel for 2 years. The facilities like room, WiFi, Common Rooms (2 in each floor) are pretty crazily amazing. What sucks is the washroom and cleanliness. Also, being too far from the main city, it's pretty tough to move.

Alumni/Alumna

Not proper alumni network. We are not in contact with any other than those whom we know on personal level. It is visible that juniors know only a few seniors, whom they might have met because of an event or something.

Admission

First gave an entrance exam, GEEE. This shortlisted candidates. They also took JEE Mains marks in consideration. A mail regarding rank was then sent, based on rank we were alloted the dept in engineering.

Faculty

0.5

Need improvement. The college is located in Delhi NCR, but most faculties are from South India. This adds a real trouble in understanding there points. Furthermore most faculties have written good number of research but lack real experience of jobs. The faculties are rated 5 Star, but the real on ground teaching sucks. The Dean has been different for us every semester for the past 3 years. And most of them either sucked or were too good for the University. One example, the lead faculty for Web Development said he has over 80 website, when asked a few questions, he didn't had any clue about React, thought PHP should be used always.

Students become eligible for placement from the 6th semester, and a mix of IT, consulting and service based companies visit with multiple entry levels offers. The students also get to apply to a degree that will be available for them in a specific area placed. My plan after the degree is to focus on implementing my skills and aim for better opportunities outside campus.

Government organizations like Cisr and Syneos Health are major conglomerate where we are placed. Still with lesser students we are not places that high and it's a shame because such a great university but still placements are in a way less as other branches have. 4-5 lakhs is what offered to Biotechnology students of IILM.
