Remarks
Mixed feelings about the college as I'm in my 3rd year right now. I feel that the college is providing just enough to sky rocket your career but one mustn't rely only on classroom teaching. GATE/GRE/CAT classes are organised for students wanting further studies
Course Curriculum Overview
Exams are a bit too much but personally the syllabus (or portion) per test is balanced for you to score well. Truly a blessing in disguise. However the curriculum is a little old. Nevertheless multiple clubs and opportunities are there for the taking.
Placement Experience
Placements are great every year but for those who work hard. Since students who've worked hard are few you will always hear that college isn't good for placement. College doesn't provide internships but there are
College Events
2 big fests in a year- Aaruush and Milan. One is techno management and other is cultural. Both in seperate semesters. Big starts like Suresh Raina, Shirley Setia, Kenny Sebastian, Nucleya and workshops by IBM, Oracle etc
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees structure is 3.5L pa for rank holders above 15000 or 25000(varies branch to branch). Below 15000/25000 it drops to 250000 then further to 10000 and so on. The better your rank the less is the fees. Also consistent performers get scholarships.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarship offered to rank holders in entrance test. Others may perform well and be among the top ranks of their respective branches and avail scholarship. There is no loan facility for fees provided by college. However banks do provide loans.
Campus Life
Extracurriculars are in plenty but not all are as good. One must choose the right club and keep learning. It is the best way to spend the time doing something productive. Overall quality isn't found all the time.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is decent and the mess is clean and tidy always. However the food isn't the best in terms of taste but is kept clean. Not to worry as there are plenty shops in and around campus and delivery services like Zomato/Swiggy available
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network isn't the strongest. I haven't seen a proper communication between them. On the other hand senior students may be very helpful at times. There is no scope of ragging as rules are very strict.
Admission
You need 75% PCM to be eligible for admission. Following that a good score is required in the College entrance test. After that a rank is generated purely based on entrance test and not on PCM marks. Serial wise rankholders will be called and branches (CSE, IT, ECE, Mech, Auto etc) will be offered. If seat is available when your rank is called out you get the admission. Simple as that.
Faculty
The faculty might be strict but not all. This shouldn't be what one should be thinking. Tip is to keeping up with the dates in case of a strict teacher. However overall it isn't that bad to be here with the faculty.
