Remarks

Overall, its a great college and is sought after by many seeing its reputation and being a Govt. Institute. The Cons are there is no transportation service (college bus) facilty for the out-campus students and they have to rely on other modes of transportation.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The Course Curriculum is just like any other Engineering Institute with a total of 8 Semesters over the 4 year long course. There are 2 Mid-Semester Tests and one End-Sem Examination in each semester along with the practical examination and viva. It focuses on continuos evaluation throughout the semester, so in my opinion its great.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placement opportunities are also good enough with regular intership opportunities and the placement cell maintains a regular interaction with the students through seminars on various opportunities. I myself had been a summer intern as an Operations Intern with an stipend of 15000 INR, which i think is decent enough.

College Events

4.5

Our college hosts the largest annual Cultural Festival in Central India - "Aakshank" along with the technical fest of the institute named "Invento". Apart from these, there are multiple one-day events like E-Day, Mridaksh, Vaani, Goonj, etc. The elaborative details of which are on the website as well.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Being an Govt. Autonomous University, the fee structure isn't a burden and its very feasible as compared to any other non-government institute. Plus one can easily avail a scholarship (if eligible under the criteria specified by the Govt.)

Fees and Financial Aid

One can avail 100% scholarship under the "Meghavi Chhatra Yojana" which covers all students who are in the top 1 lakh students in the JEE exam with an annual income.of less than 6 lakhs. Also, the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe and OBC students get a full scholarship coverage on their tuition fee by the MP State Government.

Campus Life

4

There are many events, groups and societies like ISC or the IET Sports Committe, Aakshank (Cultural), Invento (Technical), EWB (Engineers Without Borders), E-Cell, Dishanjali, NSS (National Service Scheme), various sports, Singing and dance societies - Goonj, Vaani, Naach; Mridaksh (Modelling), etc.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes the alumni network is great and the seniprs are really helpful. For instance, they have designed a website titled "Little Help" for us which facilitates us with the free online study material, tips for examinations, guidance with projects and internships, etc.

Admission

The Admission was on the basis of JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Score. Once the results were announced, I applied through the MPOnline Admission Counselling (Govt. Portal). As my JEE score was good enough, I got selected for the opted program.

Faculty

4

The faculties are good enough; some senior faculties are even themselves graduated from IITs and are authors of Books relating to their field of study. Apart from that, one can easily contact them in case of any difficulty with the academics and they interact well.

Course Curriculum Overview:

i would rate the curriculum around 5 or 6 out of 10. i chose this course mainly because of the computer and coding subjects. the syllabus is mostly theory based and many topics are not very useful for current industry needs. practical classes and real projects are also limited. more coding, projects and updated technologies should be added. exams are frequent during the semester and the difficulty is mostly average but sometimes checking feels strict.
