Remarks
My journey with the GNIMT college was pretty decent and happening. I learned a lot and had a lot of fun at the same time. The college had a pretty decent campus, but the campus area was less. All the sports activities were pretty engaging and the guest lectures were quite informative in its true sense. I will definitely recommend my college for someone who is looking for a decent degree course in the region.
Course Curriculum Overview
Our curriculum was prescribed by IKG PTU since our college is affiliated to the university itself. The curriculum was updated as per new policies and newer updates in the commerce sector. My favourite subject was financial management. A regular day at the college was pretty relaxed. Class timings were usually 9-4, and exams were conducted at the end of each semester. We also have to give internal exams that were considered for our final evaluation.
Placement Experience
The placement cell of our college was pretty active throughout the year. Still, it's one of the departments the college can work on since placements opportunities are pretty limited here. Though placements vary department to department. Training and placement cell do organize multiple workshops and guest lectures. In addition to that, there are dedicated mock interview and personality development sessions to make students industry-ready.
College Events
Numerous cultural and co-curricular activities are organized throughout the year. Intercollege competitions, Workshops on topics like 'stock market' and 'digital market' were some of the major events I attended. Apart from that, the farewell and freshers party was the most fun. Students from different departments come together and take part in these events or activities to portray their talent.
Fee Structure And Facilities
I paid around INR 23,500 per semester as my course fee. This fee covered my tuition fee, examination fee, registration fee, etc. In total, I paid around 2.4 lacs for the entire course which is pretty feasible for a bachelor's program from a college with such a rapport. I got a full return on investment by the end of the course.
Admission
Admission to the program is pretty simple and basic. I visited the college and purchased the application form. I submitted the form with the academic details. A merit list is prepared on the basis of class 12 marks and students are shortlisted for admission on those bases. I opted for this college because it is one of the finest colleges in Ludhiana and my cousins did their higher studies from here only.
Faculty
All of our faculty members were very much qualified and had a plethora of teaching experience. They explained things in a lot of detail and specifically from a practical perspective. The teaching methodology was unique. Classroom teaching would either involve ppts or case study analysis.
