Remarks

Though they followed standard guidelines for everything. Yet there was minimal attempt or effort to improvise. College is same as any other college be it mamc, yes mamc. Only disadvantage is small city, no mac Donalds but now Solapur has adlabs theatre, d

Entrance Preview

AIPMT./CBSE - PMTT his wasn't a choice actually. With paucity of Medical colleges we don't have much choice with my all india rank of 2000 this was my best available option. Since i am from North india was reluctant to go down south moreover this college is quite old with post graduation courses available Hence appeared a decent option.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course curriculum was in accordance with MCI guidelines. Just the same as in any other college faculty for non clinical subjects is really good. Experts in their field but for clinical subjects it wasn't the same, again in other colleges also, surprisingly academics in clinical subjects ain't that good except top seeds like AIIMS.

Internships Opportunities

Stipend is really less around 6 k when i did it in 2012 and no Stipend if u take a transfer college internship i can't comment on that, since I took a transfer after three months.

Placement Experience

4

Everyone after ug competes for pg entrance where your college doesn't carry any relevance. But after you join one might face some discrimination initially in residency since it's not one of the top seed college but in the long run it doesn't matter .

College Events

3

Cultural events are pretty good. I have attended pulse and believe me our college event was no less true its not that grand but the talented personalities we have are no less. For Solapur city our college function is pretty significant, might not be as huge as some other big city college, but the fun, colors, talents and performances are equally good.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible around 20k per annum Including hostel fee mess fee approx 1000 per month. Rest personal expense around 4-5 k. Travel expenses since most of us weren't from Solapur around 10k per annum.

Campus Life

3.5

Slight gender discrimination was there also there is a tendency for groupism. Group of all india students. Mumbai people. Pune group, rest of Maharashtra etc. But then its not hard and fast overall slight dis advantage for females slight cut off from other colleges, CMES WORKSHOPS weren't a regular event for students.

Hostel Facilities

4

Junior ladies hostel I would say way better than metro city hostels. Food also edible and really good overall excellent. Senior Hostel wasn't that good. Still decent enough timing restrictions were there.

Alumni/Alumna

Well for seniors, minimal to no ragging my interaction was very limited till books and markings, And nothing much to comment upon 150 characters are too much to write.

Exam Structure

Exams were taken seriously just the way like other colleges. Moreover our professional exams were conducted at other centres, unlike delhi medical colleges where the exam is conducted within the college. We also had external examiners from bombay, pune fo

Curriculum is quite hectic but interesting as well. Even if it's boring, it's important to study for the benefit of common people. Moreover, there are a total of nineteen subjects that you have to study in your complete MBBS.

Course Curriculum Overview:

MBBS is definately a tough course. along with being tough, it also puts some responsibilities on your shoulders as you will be treating real people with real problems in the real world as you complete this course. while studying, students should focus more on 'why' and 'how' type questions than 'what' type of questions. the major exams are conducted in 9 semesters . each semester is of 6 months + 1 year of compulsary internship.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The current curriculum is comprehensive based curriculum. Here practical knowledge is more important than bookish knowledge. So now spending more time in wards is of greater importance. Exams are held accordingly - 2 internals, 1 prilims and 1 University held by MUHS. Each exam is followed by practical examination. This curriculum will help to build good doctors rather than bookish doctors.
